Re: Mtg arena open beta

Banning Oko was a given, and well deserved, but what do you reckon about the Veil and Once Upon a Time? I'm a bit surprised, tbh. Certainly makes it clear that they won't tolerate meta dominance to that degree, which I suppose is a good thing?

Re: NagoyaHammer 2020 - May 9th - Planning the 40K Day.

*edit* After re-reading the Ynnari rules, it seems that it's very, very difficult to have a mixed force. Which seems really counter productive, since the whole point of Ynnari is mixing the eldar? I'd appreciate people's input on this, but as I understand it, if I want a mixed force, I'd basically ...

Re: What did you do today.

While I'm still not completely sold on the Bonereaper chappies (meh, they are what they are, I spose), your paint job does a good job of pushing me in the right direction. I much, much prefer your choice of kinda old, weathered bone/parchment, as opposed to Gee Dubs' shiny white. The bases are also ...

Re: NagoyaHammer 2020 - May 9th - Planning the 40K Day.

I like the idea of buddying up before the games and planning lists together. That made for a very fun experience last time we did it, and also for more balanced games, as armies had less chance of being paired with something that just didnt work for them. And no, randomness does not equal fun... An...

Re: NagoyaHammer 2020 - May 9th - Planning the 40K Day.

A question for those who probably understand the rules better than I do: Can I take a single unit of corsair Skyreavers and call it a detachment, and still have my army be battle forged? I mean, if I have 1 Battalion of Ynnari with an HQ (say, Yvraine) to make it Ynnari, then fill up the other neces...

buggeration! Who knew that ctrl-W closes windows in firefox? Anyone? Cos I didnt, but I bloomin well do now! The typo from hell! Gah! Anyway, right, well - where was I... Ah, yes, almost at the end of a well thought-out and reasonable post wondering about the ethics of proxying Wolves as Scars, that...

Re: Mtg arena open beta

I do rather like Wizards' "state of the game" updates. It's good to have some idea as to what they're thinking and where things might be headed. So far, my thoughts are: Historic cards: mostly ho hum, but there are a few in there (Goblin Matron, Cryptbreaker, Imperious Perfect, Phyrexian Arena) that...

Re: Let's have a GW rumors and sneak peeks thread!

I'll admit, even as a mostly-40k-player (historically speaking) my interest is piqued by this. What could it mean.... :? :o

Re: Mtg arena open beta

Jank is indeed fun. I don’t really have any jank decks right now, but I’m kinda heading towards building some. I still actually quite enjoy my Azorius control. Because of the matching algorithm I seem to get paired against control decks more often than not, which makes for some pretty tense games. H...
