Re: Shadespire

hmmn. all good points. OK, so I'm now leaning towards Ringtail. Might even get some paints off em, too. Need more contrast (although, jeebus. At 1050en per pot, it's hardly an impulse buy anymore...)

Re: Shadespire

cheers, dave and jye. Hmmn. I'll have a think about it. If I were to be going to Yokkaichi any time soon I'd certainly pop in and have a look, but at the mo going anywere seems unlikely. As for Ringtail, while I support the idea of supporting smaller retailers, they're not exactly local, charge the ...

Re: Shadespire

a question: where do you fine folks buy your underworlds these days? I used to get em from Adepta Australis on ebay, but they seem to have become a casualty of covid, and are nowhere to be seen. I would get em from GWs, but man, every time I look I cant help but convert the UK prices to JP prices an...

Re: What did you do today.

lovely work, all :) @Prim - you're hitting the historics again, I see. Int'restin, int'restin... @dave - You probably have more painted nurgle than me at this point. I could cope with it when you had more Underworlds stuff cos you started that before me, but nurgle? Man, that's just embarrasin...

Re: Mtg arena open beta

Yeah, I’d’ve liked to see more hoopla about Amonkhet, but I guess they’re leery of promoting historic at the expense of standard? Maybe? I notice it says “limited events” for Amonkhet, including “draft and sealed”. It doesn’t specifically mention quick draft, but neither does it rule it out. Maybe a...

Re: Mtg arena open beta

that's the one  Also, my poor zombies are having troubles dealing with...well, a variety of things, tbh. Interestingly, the one card that seems to be doing good work is grafdigger's cage. It's gold against Muxus, but also shuts down Kethis combo and any kinda graveyard/golgari shenanigans (whic...

Re: Mtg arena open beta

Have you not come up against a tuned Muxus deck yet? From my own experience (and also based on the massive amount of wailing and gnashing of teeth on Facebook) the historic meta is crawling with goblins. FWIW, he don’t never come out on turn 6. Turn 3 is more likely, and when he does, he wins from a...

Re: 9th edition is on the way!

Good lord. I just took a moment to read that Goonhammer article. How can a company drop the ball so hard on something so fundamental? Jeez Louise, it’s a frickin army builder app that doesn’t actually build your army?!? I mean, is BattleScribe being run by some kind of high tech supervillain with ac...

Re: Biannual post about interest in Infinity

FWIW, I’ve only played a little Infinity, and that quite some time ago, but if I can give you one piece of advice it would be: Play like you’re solid snake. Seriously. I will never forget my first game of Infinity (against the good Primarch, in fact) where I managed to get most (maybe even all?) of ...
