Re: What did you do today.

@Jus- came across this the other day, another guy making shiny Ultramarines. Though, I think I like yours better. https://ironsleet.com/2020/04/20/the-long-form It's been mentioned here before, but Iron Sleet is full of all sorts of wonderful Blanchitsu grim-darkery. Though occasionally, sadly burie...

Re: What did you do today.

@Ashdevon - Very colourful. @Konrad - Great work on the scatter terrain and the digga-chick. For the next one, my vote is for an open helm with a chainmail face covering. Perfect for helping prevent the spread of a virus and it looks bad-ass. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn%3AANd9Gc...

Re: What did you do today.

http://imgur.com/gallery/7CrKcP2 Nice! I should watch, "The Three Musketeers" again. Swash those buckles! And here's what's on (off, finally!) the bench. The biggest boxes turned out a bit too big, but overall not so bad. They will block LOS and do the job. sort of a painting experiment with the bl...

Re: Best Sci-Fi Movies List

Now this is a LIST! https://www.insider.com/bizarre-movies-to-watch-stream-netflix-amazon-prime-disney-plus-2020-5 Oh god....just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, or the arctic, or sit on your sofa. I love me a bad, weird movie, but those may go to far. I mean, you can always...

Re: Audible sandman

How fun. The Sandman made a really big impact on the 19-ish year old me. That and Frank Miller's "Dark Knight" introduced me to the idea that comics were not just for kids.

Re: What did you do today.

I think those crates look pretty cool as-is, sort of a comic-book texture. A whole set of terrain like that could be cool for a superheroes game. Or a rather interesting diorama. hmmmm, not just mono-chrome, but all your shading is done with black-lines. I'll never do it, but would be a challenge.

Re: What did you do today.

Just a heads up of the difference between foamcore (paper backing on foam) and plain foam, foamcore can warp pretty badly depending on how you paint it. I've had to throw out a few pieces of terrain due to warping. However, foamcore is less likely to chip with use and will look better for longer. R...

Re: What did you do today.

@Karantu- Cheers! Not bad. You could try polystyrene foam or foamcore (same stuff with paper facing) for the think bits. I like it as it's relatively cheap. It's easy to carve, press detail into. I'll try and find/take a pic of some of my Mordheim stuff.

Re: What did you do today.

@Karantu - Well done on making terrain. But why use card, don't you have a 3D printer? I just enjoy scratch building terrain. And honestly, its faster and easier to build large pieces like this by hand. On the other hand the 3D printer is good for details and complicated bits, so I've been thinking...

Re: What did you do today.

Been happily puttying away. Started a 3rd version of that Digga Dinosaur rider and another Digga idea I've had in the back of my head for a while. Also been musing about putting together some Mah-reens of some sort. A Deathwatch Kill team would be a great...killteam...for ....Killteam. Lots of cool ...
