Re: Prim Pontificates- ...but am I really though?
I think it is time for me to start making some decisions and giving more consideration to what I play. And how about you? When you think about the games you play, how many of them do you truly, actively play and how many sit on a shelf waiting for a day that may never come? Having recently bought y...

Re: Prim Pontificates - I am a (???) player
Narrowing down my identity as a (???) player has long since become an almost impossible task, though I DO know where I started. I was mostly assuredly a Warhammer Fantasy player in my early teens. But now, well, with so many game systems in my life, including both tabletop rpgs and miniature wargame...

Re: From Potential to Playable - Model Building Service
Prim's assembly service has opened its doors, and it couldn't happen at a better time! I certainly have a big pile of gray plastic that needs assembly. With time being very short these days, it will certainly help to have the models built so I can get on with painting. I will PM you with the models ...

Re: Prim Pontificates - This is a DIY hobby.
I am heavily invested in the narrative of games - as many of you know. Whether it be a narrative I am trying to emulate and give life to, or a narrative I have invented myself, I feel the most motivated when I am emotionally invested in the game at hand. This emotional connection has been achieved b...

Re: Prim Pontificates - Wargames should be more asymmetrical
As Jye pointed out, at heart, the great majority of gamers jump at the chance to immerse themselves in narrative play. The emotional investment and immersion in the story certainly increases when you're rescuing civilians or holding out for reinforcements, or racing to sabotage the comms tower. Succ...

Re: NagoyaHammer 2024 Retrospective
A very very big thank you to the event organizer and my excellent traveling companion. @Primarch - a job very well done soldier! Time to hang up that bolter and rest a while. It is absolutely a LOT of effort to put this event together. I agree that delegating tasks among the community is a good idea...

Sure thing. I'll bring some crews with me.The Underdweller wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 11:25 pmApologies, I got mixed up and thought this was the non-40K day thread.
In that case, who is free for Malifaux on Friday, the 40K day?
@Balloonacorn and @Grantholomeu, are you coming both days? @Kojibear, would you be interested? Anyone else?

@MIJ- Some wicked swoosh you got going there, as always. I really dig those not-quite-a-Return-of-the-Jedi-rip-off- Evil-SpaceElf-skimmer-boats. Your paintjob really makes them look all sharp and menacing. The geek within me is poking me with a spikey ram much like the tip of that not-quite-a-‘sail...

Re: NH24 - Side Games (Fri May 3rd) Planning Thread
I think I used the rules from one of the older editions of GG when I set up the 4-way game. In my post above I mentioned that Kojibear and I were thinking to play 30K, but due to a bit of a terrain crunch I think we may have to change that plan. All of my 30K terrain will be going to the 40K tables...

Re: Op-En - A New Skirmish Game by Prim
I had my first two games of Op-En and played through to completion in each game in about two hours with the occasional chat etc included. The system is not overloaded with special rules and re-rolls, so it plays quite smoothly. Thanks to generic but customizable force creation, I could create a forc...
