Re: September 2025 Nagoya Games Day: 9/21 at e-able

I'm switching to Orks, because they're all painted, their rules changes are fun, and they're already in my case! My list has four Kill Teams in it so I guess I'll have that too 😂

Is anyone down to play Spearhead ?
I'll bring the stuff along! My first preference will still be 40K but happy to squeeze a game in or at least furnish some equipment for others to play.

Re: September 2025 Nagoya Games Day: 9/21 at e-able

As usual we'll probably organise the 40k games on the day, splitting up between however many tables we've set up so that everyone gets a game. As long as you show up early enough in the morning or close enough to lunch in the afternoon you'll definitely get to play. Of course feel free to arrange a ...

I should be there! Planning to continue with Space Wolves in the hopes of having one army where I can actually remember their rules. Hopefully I'll get more of the new units painted and can try Saga of the Beastslayer.

Thanks for the games and company today folks - especially Dave, Al and Alan. The forces of the Imperium did much better than we feared against the dread plagues of the Death Guard and I can only think that the Emperor Protected.

And specifically in the morning, specifically protected my transports.

Re: Prim Pontificates- ...but am I really though?

Well identity is only conventionally real so as long as it leads to whatever you can define as successful practice it's fine  For example thinking of yourself as a historical gamer might provide just enough feeling of utility to the hobby process to motivate you to enjoy yourself doing it. You ...

Re: Prim Pontificates - I am a (???) player

Well I think it's pretty easy to be involved in a discussion for a game you don't play, since you can just ask questions and people will be super excited to explain it to you  And I would be dramatically better at 40K if at some point I'd said "I am a Space Wolf player" and stuck to it rather t...

Re: July 2025 Nagoya Games Day: 7/20 at e-able

Thanks for the games and company folks! Sorry if I didn't have bandwidth to chat around two big games of 40K, but they were good games and a lot of fun giving the Emperor's Children their first run. Winning one losing one was about right, and yet more evidence I need to go second to save me from mys...

Re: Prim Pontificates - This is a DIY hobby.

Well I had a Crusade force centred around an Inquisitor trying to apply an idiosyncratic understanding of Vasubandu to the universe with help from a particularly unhinged group of Space Wolves mantling the (probably nonexistent) Daughters of Russ, and another centred around "What if Sei Shonagon was...
