1/72 size kinda the wrong scale? although i see they are releasing hamachan movies and thunderbirds ;)

I guess they are mainly just to use as a marker rather than an actual game piece. The last time I looked at the warplane rules they were OMGWTFBROKEN!#%@. I think they got changed a little, but given the scale of the games we play, I don't see a real need for bringing along Stukas and so forth.

1/72 plastic aircraft kits are dirt cheap if you shop around.

1/72 is small, but from what I hear pretty commonly used with the aircraft rules in BA

Generally in historic games you don't want to bring aircraft actually the same scale as the miniatures. If you look at the actual specs of the aircraft they would dwarf the tanks and figures on the table. It looks incongruous despite it all being scale. FoW does the same and scales the aircraft at 1/144th rather than the 1/100th the rest of the game is scaled at. I believe Warlord does the same.

Oh no, if you wish please buy them by all means, but I advise you to magnetize those wings. :D
