Actually I think you can play any number in or outside the campaign as long as you kind of alter the bonuses and negatives to be weighted the same. But of course you can't expect everyone to be able to field more than 2k and it might take a good while. :)

If I'm to play 40k, then how many points should I write my list for?

The models I ordered haven't arrived yet, so I have much the same collection I did two months ago. Barring a single large addition.

Of course, we can. Won't we play 2000 points standard scenario battle outside the campaign setting?
As you mentioned, it would be better for us to prepare for main battles in the campaign.
That sounds fine Asch. :)

So we're set for doubles, 1200 each in the morning? My list is ready.

Hell yeah! I've just written down the side game scenario idea. Let's discuss the details before the game in the morning.

Thanks to Underdweller for the WFB game this morning. (Dont forget to add your hero as a Personality).
Thanks to Job for the BP game in the afternoon and for being a good sport when the 4th held off his entire army and took out a French regiment into the bargain.

Thanks to Tenorikuma, Koji for playing a good game. The wood elves have denied the Dwarves their drink and chow. I hope they drink heartily tonight, but hopefully the bearded-maiden is not harasses in their company and the knights are allowed passage to the far side of the mountains. (Afterall, most Medieval fights were not meant to be deadly but ways to show valor and settle disputes.)

And special thanks to Asch for the really fun scenario and being my teammate.

And thanks to Prim for the awesome game of BP. The 4th King's Own pulled a terrific maneuver and action (and the French Calvary not so)!

My thanks to Tenorikuma, my elf brother. :)

My thanks to Asch and Job for great games today! Hopefully Tenorikuma's elves will get the knights out of harms way before the Lioness and her fey spirits get hold of them :o

Thanks to Asch for coming up with a fun scenario and to him and Job for giving me and Koji a good game.

Also thanks to Underdweller for a fun and fast-paced game against her Lizardmen, who seem to be unstoppable.

My Lizardmen have certainly had a good run of beginner's luck - now if I can count on the Doomwheel to run over it's own side and Elven wizards to wipe out their own units every game, this Border Princes campaign thing should be a cinch.

Anyway, thanks to Prim and Ten for the fun games today, and hopefully the dice gods will be a little more forgiving to you next time we meet on the field of combat!

Prim, I'll update my personalities section sometime this week.
