I doubt I'll have time for a game, but I'd appreciate it if you'd let me run around the room with the miniatures for a few minutes, making Tie fighter noises and chanting, "Stay on on target, stay on target...." errrrrroooowwwwwMike the Pike wrote:@Yellow: If you are sticking around until the afternoon, I'll bring my X-wing stuff too (Starter + Advanced + Y-wing).

Sure! That's pretty much a mandatory part of playing anyway!Konrad wrote:I doubt I'll have time for a game, but I'd appreciate it if you'd let me run around the room with the miniatures for a few minutes, making Tie fighter noises and chanting, "Stay on on target, stay on target...." errrrrroooowwwwwMike the Pike wrote:@Yellow: If you are sticking around until the afternoon, I'll bring my X-wing stuff too (Starter + Advanced + Y-wing).

@yellowstreak: I'm not sure if you saw my message in all the clutter of my post, but if you want to play FB, I'd be up. Of course you might want to play X-wing.

I'll let your Ogres have another shot at capturing some brawny dwarf flesh and my Giant slayers will get another shot at hacking your Ogres.
and I'll try to keep from looking at the rules so much this time. Hopefully we can get done in a 2-2.5 hour time and let you play some X-wing.
Oh, and if we want to make this a sidegame for the campaign, maybe we should draw up a mission, like "Treasure Hunting party of dwarves fights over a Troll cave with a Ogre band"?
m(_ _)m Sorry Mike for stealing Yellow away in the afternoon, but maybe we can pass him between us.

@Job - Thanks for the game. Those trees didn't see those flaming balls a'comin!
I still like to the think the treeman ran into the marsh and doused himself
At least we achieved the in game fluff objective! Hoorah!
@Prim - Cheers mate. Learned heaps again today. I will give you more of a run for your money in the next game!

Re: Joshin 27th?
@Koji: Yes, the treeman I am sure got away and doused himself. I'm sure the trees now are planning their revenge on the dwarves.
Scary!
I enjoyed the game, but I am sorry that it turned a bit one sided (I think the Battle of the Pass result really assisted me), but there were certainly some very memorable moments. And it was very fluffy.
@ Yellowstreak: That was a hilarious game.
I loved the action, too. Your ogres pack a punch. Great mission design and I liked how it played out. Also your Ogres are looking good, and good work on bringing home a river set and some ogre tents.
Also, I'm glad you also brought up the idea of a Blood Bowl bowl game series of tournaments. I'd like to see that happen and I'd pitch in my best attempt to make it happen, even trying to set up a small trophy and prize.

Thanks for the game Koji. I can honestly say I have never seen Scouts beat Harlequins in assault before. Ok, I didn't technically beat you, but normally Harlies decimate marines and it was nice to get it down to the last man on each side.

Thanks for the game, Mike! I've never had the chance to fight dark eldar before and it was a valuable experience. I'll have to rifle through their codex again sometime soon.
