can someone please bring a copy of the 40k rulebook? Mine is the humungous collecters ed, so if someone can bring the wee pockt one just in case of rules queries, thatd be dead handy. ta much :)

@Prim - if i play Job at 40k in the morning, do you fancy a game in the afternoon?
As I have said previously, I cant bring that much stuff. No 40k for me this time around.
I can bring a 40k rule book though.

me_in_japan wrote:I can do you 14 plague marines (4 of whom have melta guns and 2 of whom are sergeants) and 6 chosen (who have plasma guns.) As long as we both know what's what, I have no problem with you saying "that plasma gun is actually a bolter". *shrug*

There are 7 havocs (devastators), 4 of whom have heavy bolters (again, if you wanna call em lascannons thats fine.) And yup, I can bring Esmerelda.

fyi, I intend to use eldar codex units, plus probably these guys:

Shadow Spectres

Warp Hunter

The rules for these models are linked to from their respective pages. Like all eldar, they can dish it out but they cant take it.

Am I right in thinking you're fairly new to 40k? reason I ask is, should I be coming at this game in a kinda "grrrr! I gonna whup yo ass, daemon worshipping beyotch!" or should I be more "that's not a bad idea, but you should probably deal with those banshees coming up your flank first" ?

Oh, and are you prepping a 1750 pt list? It'd make life easier for me if you were (dang eldar cost so many points), but if its tricky for you I can downsize to 1500 if I need to.
Sounds good! Ill make adjustments to the list. Actually I forgot about the chosen which are so much fun.

And actually I'm kind of a 40k veteran. At least I like to think so. I've played since 3rd Ed but on-off. I played a bunch before including a league and half a dozen or more Apocalypse level games. Still I only faced a FW model once and I'm familiar with Eldar but not the details of their army.

As for CSM I have the book and almost every number memorized.

ok, so:

@prim - thanks in advance for bringing the rulebook.

@job - 1750 pts of 40k against you in the morning. I'll bring my eldar, 14 plague marines, 7 chosen, esmerelda, and a six-pack of whup-ass for veteran spanking

in the afternoon - what do folks want to play? I could maybe bring warmahordes if that was going, or the ol' reliable malifaux (would prefer warmahordes, tbh)

Prim? Anyone else? 40k or warmahordes in the afternoon? malifaux if nowt else is going? Any takers? If it came down to it I could maybe even play something new, if you have a spare army/gang/team/whatever.

I'm just glad that all those crunches I've been doing at work are going to pay off tomorrow. I'll do my best to try and review the rules tonight. Cheers.

I'll see what I can realistically carry, but Malifaux is more likely since its smaller.
I will have 2 fleets for Uncharted Seas with me and enough models to have a 2 Vs 2 game of Dust Tactics.

I have and will bring all of the above except for the berserkers. Any other requests? Troops wise I am limited to normal troops with the mark of Tzeentch or just chaos glory.

I will more than likely just open the room and leave my minis under/behind the terrain which will be under a table. Sorry I have to rush off, but I am keen to do some Dust tactics and uncharted seas in the arvo though.

Oh, and I believe u will need a sheet for the table as Badruck had to take back his.

Cool. How about some basic marines. If possible, a champ with a pf and a two assault weapons, preferably melted or plasma.

I could bring my GW battle mat too.

Sure thing. Consider it done.
