Boardgames Nights at Mondo Books

Post by khorne » Sat Oct 29, 2011 5:12 pm

Hi guys, so... I reopen the thread here. I am trying to get this thing off the ground. We at Mondo Books (new location in Kamimaezu, very close to Osu) have this HUGE space where we hope to host casual games and big gaming events as well... I am trying to stir some interest in as many people as possible. Next week I'd like to have some people over for some casual games. We are acquiring more tables also (Thank you Tanya!!). The environment is friendly, clean and we can also have background music. Admittance fee for gaming is 500 yen, you get also books discount and fre coffees.

Next week I am going to be at the shop (night) on Thursday (3) and Friday (4) and (only if you are showing up) Sat 5th. Please let me know so I can make arrangements.

About the games, feel free to bring over whatever you want.

Cheers

Emanuele

do you have space crusade? or Space hulk... I think Blood Bowl would be the best game to play at this event.. I am going to try to make it down there on Wednesday or Friday... if there are any others out there ready do Bowl or even play Dread Fleet... I do not have a copy of any of these games but I would like to play any of them... i think I have a blood Bowl pitch somewhere but I a am not sure... for any of you that do not think Blood Bowl is fun because is based on Foot Ball or Rugby well I have only one thing to say it is based on those games but it is fun because you can kick guys on the ground...

I might come on Friday - but I don't have any board games to bring except a small one out of a magazine.

My wife has a nomikai to attend on Friday leaving me free! I can bring Elder Sign, Ticket to Ride, and a bunch of really awesome card games. I can bring strange aeons if people are interested in that too.

I was planning to go tonight but I have to work late tonight. If anyone is planing on being there from 9:30 until late on Friday I might go to the trouble to pack blood bowl some along with some teams and rosters. If no one can do that then I guess I will not bebothered.

If blood bowl I not the game of choice then I would hope we could play some space crusade or cutless. Let me know if you are up to it.
