Kuwana Gaming - December

Post by Dungeon Lord » Tue Nov 15, 2011 11:14 am

With a family commitment on Dec 11th and other poor excuses, there will not be a gaming day in Kuwana December.

Sorry guys. Any interest in the 8th of January?

er...

Jan 7th+8th - Winter Blitz 2: The Blitzening!

Would you be talking about that January 8th? You should totally come to Blitzy 2. It's a non-40k event, so Warmachine, Malifaux, board games etc, etc, whatever are all welcome. We'll miss ya if ya dont, yknow :D

I have come to the conclusion that with so many comps and other game events going on, a regular club meeting poses difficulties. Unless of course the Tsu and Kuwana events take alternate months to host or something. Otherwise it doesn't seem like there is enough gamers to go around.

Everyone has family commitment too. And the sophisticated self proclaimed non-geeks of which there is only one has biking things to do. So I reckon a once in a while get together is the way to go. Sad though. I was hoping to make Kuwana a regular thing like Joshin.

I only held 5 events this year. One rpg festival March, one boardgames April, one fantasy and 40k day July, Halloween rpg and one painting day next month. I can keep to this pattern if it is helpful but if you want to hold events you totally should. I basically put things on when I can these days otherwise I make the trip to Fort Spev, Kyoto, Daves house and sometimes Joshin.
I'll make the effort more in the New Year Phil. Sorry I couldn't make it to Kuwana recently. :)

Just a quick thought. Centre Palace or Arts Club Tsu as I like to arrogantly call it these days could stick to 4 main events per year. I'll still do something for local folks monthly, not gaming necessarily. For example I'm thinking of doing a film day at some point so that wouldn't be a gaming day. :ugeek:
I'll keep the big events to a minimum if it's helpful.
For example using this year as a model.
Next year I would need these months for game events in Tsu. 2 of which are rpg.

March 3rd and 4th: Tsu Rpg festival 2012

July: Summer wargames: 40k, Fantasy, Black Powder, Flames of War, Mordheim.

October Halloween: Lovecraftian Horror rpg event (prizes for grabs) ;)

December hobby day: Painting and Blood Bowl, Space Hulk.

I plan to game once a month from 2012. Less is more so to speak.

If I stuck to these 4 events per year Phil you could have January, February, April, May, June, August September and November to play/work with. 8 of the 12! Sound good? :)

Let me know.

the only reason Joshin is a regular event is because it is in Nagoya and it is on a day that most of the guys can play... if there were a few more gamers in the Kuwana area I am sure it would be as popular if not more than the Joshing event.. but as it is there is only one Kuwana Gamer just like Ogaki there is only one gamer.... lets see what the future holds...

good luck with that :D Incoming baby will render all plans irrelevant, or so I'm given to understand. My gaming goals for 2012 are: go to nagoyahammer in May. That's about as much as I can hope for, and even that feels a bit optimistic...
