Hi all!
The Nagoya Miniature Games Club game day in August will be on Sunday the 22nd, at
e-able Nagoya, near Higashi-betsuin - we'll have the room from 9 til 4. As usual, it's 500 yen if you play any games, free if you just want to drop by and say hi and look around!
I'm all vaccinated up, so I'll be there as long as it isn't cancelled (knock on wood). It having been a bit, I think I'd like to focus on my Crusade, and can do either 25 or 50 power games with my Dusk Raiders, and I'll bring along a bunch of terrain and what-not. If anybody's interested in a quick demo game, I'll have Underworlds along as well.

Do we want to play the special mission for Phase 2 of the campaign (Flood Tide on Fathom) or do we think we need to go an extra month? I guess it will come down to how many folks can play on the day.
Either way I'll have my Wolves again, I'd like to take the mechanised list out for another spin or two, and I can play basically any size game.
I'll also have some kind of AOS force, Stormcast if the book lands or Maggotkin again.

I'm probably going to be there with some 40k stuff looking to play some quick and easy matched play games up to 1500pts. If anyone is interested let me know or I'm going to try and infiltrate the Japanese player base. I'd probably also be down to play some Stargrave and other games.
Edit: Matt, if you want to do some Ork sparing to test out the new stuff and don't mind playing some matched play, let me know.

I'll bring my Gitz along just in case then.

I'm fully vaccinated now as well, so I'll definitely be there! Happy to play anything 40k.

Sure, that sounds fun! Incredibly fluffy, too.
Although I can probably only bring 1000pts if that's ok. Also I recommend trying out the Ork crusade stuff at some point as well - you can actually get some bonuses for bearing another Ork army.

Maybe we can finally try to do a big Imperium vs Chaos game, assuming our Chaos players are able to make it! I think we're getting a bit better at doing 100PL games quickly as well.

I will be there and by that time I will be fully vaccinated.
Bring my AOS path to Glory (Deathrattle) and 40k Crusade forces.
25 or 50 PL for Crusade.

Speaking of, have we settled on a more or less standard game size for our path to glory games? (I’m still missing a couple “temporarily out of stock” units from my roster, so I can do 1500 but not 2000 points.)

AOS games seem a lot faster (at least when Ogres are smashing into your lines and eating you alive

) and they kick up to full table size at 1000. So I feel 750 makes sense for small games and 1500-2000 for big ones?
Bringing 750 and 1500 lists may be a good rule of thumb to start with? Not sure what @Irongutsman and @Karantu prefer as our more experienced AOS players. What does the 日本語 half of the club usually play?

I don't know! They do seem to use big centerpiece models a lot, so I'd assume they're pretty big games.
I'll be ready for either 750, 1000, or 1500 at any rate.

I'm not really that experienced in AoS but I tend to find slightly larger games are more fun due to being able to bring out more toys. It also makes certain units feel less overwhelming which is good. Although certain models like Nagash are probably going to be overwhelming even in large games. I'm going to hold off on my spying mission until the actual Ork codex comes out though.
