sorry guv - would love to, but using my precogniscent powers, I predict I will be up till 3am pretty much every day trying to get my bloody deldar in some kind of respectable shape for the event. I can tell y now - the mandrakes are gonna be flesh coloured all over, and the incubi are gonna be sprayed black only. Woulda loved to have em done, but its just not gonna happen :( Still, there is life after NagoyaHammer, no?

Not sure where the right thread for this would be, but since the title of this un is exactly what Im going to write about, I figured this one would do.

I just wanted to thank Ash for today's game in Tsu. I know many folks were gaming in Joshin today, but Ash very kindly brought along his Ultramarines for my shiny new Dark Eldar to use as target practice, and, truth be told, while I wouldnt exactly call it a schooling, my Dark Eldar certainly learned a few important lessons. Ash brought a very nicely balanced force - no wierd spammy stuff, and plenty of infantry, light vehicles (landspeeders, regular and storm), some heavyish armour (a pred and a dred) and 3 drop pods. All good tourney practice stuff. My Dark Eldar did their best, but were not up to the task, with Ash holding them to a draw (and in fact, had we finished at the end of turn 4, as time constraints were pressuring us to do so, Ash woulda won. Badruck will be pleased to know that this was, in fact, a Capture and Control mission.)

So, a nice practice game was had by both of us (I hope), and I learned a bit about what to do and what not to do with the evil pointy ears, which was rather the point of the exercise. Still plenty to learn though, and no time to learn it in, unfortunately.

I, and my evil, time consuming dark eldar, are looking forward to nagoyahammer! Up the pointy ears!

-d

i just had a thought: I want a dark eldar archon with a long, waxed moustache, that he can twirl with his fingertips whilst grinning maniacally. A conversion opportunity, methinks...

Kenyas Nids had my Tau for Break Fast last Friday... then I played her 1500 point nid army against the Blood angels of an Lamenting Australian mate of mine. He had a great time until Mephiston got lash Whipped and bone Sworded to death. I like the way these weapons on the Hive Tyrant work. Then there was a game with a tweaked Lamenters v MAD DOKK's Bully Boyz are Kill point game. It was a very cool game. but the Orks came out on top...4 points to 2.
