My order from Warlord arrived.

I got;

500 pts of BA Italians
2 mdf trucks
1 Morris armoured car

I'm going to paint them up as a fascist militia for VBCW games. Mussolini has decided to lend a hand to his fascist brethren across the pond.

Cool, I look forward to seeing them.

That seems like a good reason not to paint. I have fond memories of the old X-Wing/Tie Fighter/X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter series of games. I saw them advertised on GOG.com recently, how does it run on a modern machine?
I bought it on Steam, and it took a bit of fiddling with dll files to get it to work. I still can't get the £D hardware acceleration to work, so it's in 640x480 resolution, and there's no in-flight music, but other than that it works fine. :) I can even remember all the controls, too. :oops:

Here's what I've been doing today (well, the last few days really)...

You call that a halberd? THIS is a halberd.

One would have to admit that they are indeed HALBERDS! :)

What game are they for?

@Spevna - Look forward to seeing the Italians. Im working on my Brits 49th Polar Bears Recon. Oh and many good memories of X-Wing and Tie Fighter. :D

Oh yeah, oops - Warmachine, Retribution, Houseguard Halberdiers (also an Arcanist peeking in at the right). Sprayed this morning before work, going to try and get a few layers of paint on them before playing on Sunday :D

Technically they are glaives. Halberds also have a spear like point at the top. /nerdmode

Dammit, you're right... Looking on Wikipedia, it looks like they might be equally well described as voulges, too.

Looks like it. Either way, impressive looking unit. Looking forward to seeing them all painted up.

Busy with work 6 days a week, family time and such. There's also the added task of battling digital enemies on my computer at night. Still I managed to base up the Helbrute and building some Skitarii Rangers and filling in the small gaps with green stuff.
