What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
@TOD- I dig that Admech inflitrator whatsit too, though it's not quite grimdark enough to be 40K for me. Looks like something Atomic Robo would punch through hordes of, which I mean as praise.
I did a bit more puttying this weekend. Got things about....80% done, no make that 70%. Did a bit more Naga research and found out I did the axes all wrong. What I though was a blade was actually maybe an oddly shaped sheath...... No worries. Carving blades is actually quite relaxing.

Re: What did you do today.
@Konrad - Yeah, AdMech is about half grim gothic weirdness and half Buck Rogers pulp craziness. Infiltrators show that pretty well, I think. They have those funky domed heads, balanced out by having had all their limbs amputated, more or less just for the sake of it. And the Skitarii Vanguard have radium carbines (and you can’t get more John Carter than that) but are so irradiated by carrying them around that they’re a danger to the health of anyone nearby. Oops! And their chicken walkers are powered by a literal perpetual motion machine, but nobody remembers how it actually works so they don’t dare turn them off (cause they can’t guarantee they’d know how to turn them on again) and just have the walkers run on treadmills when they’re not in use. (I have become a huge AdMech fanboy the more I get into them, heh.)

This is the most 40k thing I have read in ages. Whichever staff writer wrote that particular piece of fluff deserves a bonus, and then some. Tip 'o the hat, good sir.their chicken walkers are powered by a literal perpetual motion machine, but nobody remembers how it actually works so they don’t dare turn them off (cause they can’t guarantee they’d know how to turn them on again) and just have the walkers run on treadmills when they’re not in use.

Re: What did you do today.

I finished up the last of my Skitarii just now, all ready for tomorrow's game. I didn't finish up the fourth Armiger, sadly, so we'll have to settle for 1250 points, but still - they look pretty good all lined up, eh? I'm glad to see the back of them, though. (This should also give me plenty to choose from for Kill Team too, which is nice.)
Next week I'll finish up the Armiger, then get cracking on my Stormcast.

Great work Dave! I really do like the colours - even better than the traditional red and metallic. May the Omnissiah bless them as they battle the enemy tomorrow!
Aye, I'm looking forward to seeing how this Kill Team game pans out.

Re: What did you do today.
Games day Sunday was good fun, although the room was a bit tight - I played a demo of Star Wars Legion with Kondo-san, and it was pretty fun! I'm in no hurry to get into it (my dance ticket is pretty full up for the foreseeable future) but the rules seem solid and hey, it's Star Wars (we learned, among other things, that Luke should not let his dad get within lightsaber range of him). If I'm looking for a new project after Age of Sigmar / Adeptus Titanicus calms down, I may look into it.
Also had a 1250-point game of 40K, my AdMech against Kondo-san's Tau, and I managed to squeak a win out by keeping an eye on the objective in the face of massively overwhelming firepower.
That said, a core of Armigers is pretty solid, and I like where my AdMech are - one more Armiger and I'll have 1500 points, which will leave them set. I might want to pick up some Kataphrons or something because the models are cool, but I definitely realized painting up the last 5 or 6 of them that I'm not really interested in painting more Skitarii ever again.
So now (again, after I finish up Armiger 4) I'll turn my painting attention to my Stormcast, and try to get some games of AoS in. Plus there's Kill Team at the end of the month, and Titanicus probably in late August (some people on Twitter have already been posting pics of box contents, so I figure they're pretty much ready to go with it).
Looks like August's game day will be on the 19th, at the Naka Shogai Gakushu Center as it was last month, so I'll put a thread up for that before too long.

Re: What did you do today.
I finished up my fourth Armiger tonight:

(If you like, pretend I photoshopped Jean-Luc Picard into the bottom corner of that second one, shouting "There are Four Knights!" I can't be bothered.

Re: What did you do today.
Finally, finally got the Naga project done....almost. As I was looking at the pics, I think I'll go back and re-work the super secret yet to be revealed unit leader a bit.

And of course, don't waste that extra putty or screwed up armature.

Re: What did you do today.
I finally painted up these guys last night.

Since the way cover works in 8th edition, they're too small to really have any appreciable effect on the tabletop, I put off painting them for a while, but they'll work just fine for Kill Team.
