Today I finished up 3 Elves. My apologies to Konrad, I hope the following doesn't trigger your pointy-ear allergy.
The models are old figures from Grenadier circa 1990. I haven't had them for quite that long, maybe around 20 years give or take.

So I just finished my first Necron warrior, he came out a lot more rusted and growdy then I intended but I guess that makes him a rust monster. I feel I already a bunch of mistakes lol. Anyways go easy please

*edit the picture is gigantic sorry*
@Mogus - That's a nice start.
First of all, digital photography is NOT your friend. You have to be very good to not be able to find issues with close up photos.

For image hosting and posting, I recommend using a website called Imgur.com. It's free and it stores the pictures off site, so it is less load on our server. It's also not a bad idea to crop the photo. If you're using Windows, this can be done quickly and easily in MS Paint.
I'll guess that you are using Contrast paints for the body of the Necron. They are fantastic at bringing out detail, but they tend to pool a little on flat areas like the armour on the arms and legs. I'm sure one of our more gifted painters will be along with some advice on how to deal with that at some stage.
In the meantime, keep up the good work.
