@dave - I feel ya. There’s too much tv to watch and games to play at the moment. On the plus side, razor saws are fantastic and super useful. So there’s that :D Best of luck with birdcage boy. Looking forward to seeing the paint job (probably finished him already, given the rate you paint at :lol: )

As the owner of a Playstation 5 AND a working FFXIV account I feel morally obliged to not let my good fortune go to waste, which is why this Octarius terrain is taking me many, many work meetings to paint rather than a few podcast listening sessions.

yeah, I hear you fellas. I just bought a new gaming pc with the works... Night City really IS breath taking with Ray Tracing enabled.

I did however manage to get this bad boy done. Not his base though. Bleh

@Jye - Nice knights.
@Ashdevon - A very festive looking marine.
@Jus - That dragon looks amazing. One of your 3D marvels?

I know I have been a bit quiet on the forums recently. However, my winter painting challenge kicks off tomorrow, so expect to see a lot more from me in the coming months.

Dragon rider looks sick!

- Last month I took to a small project of basing all of these, and I was really happy with how the bases came out.
- Ulix, Penelope, and Old Major were painted a long time ago and just rebased.
- Within the last month, I re-painted my wild boars because it was bothering me that their color didn't match the color on their cards :lol:
- I also painted the piglets, squealers, and Sow. They were not too complicated and I chose to do those first because I was able to get them done before last game day.
- And just today I finished my war pigs. I'm really happy with how the vibrant green on the gremlins came out. They're a little sketchy (as in, they look like sketches) but they really pop in person which I like for when they're going to be on the game table.
It's been nice to slap some paint around and not be super picky. On bigger display pieces I want to be pickier, but on pigs and gremlins I can churn through them.
Here's to hoping I can finish the rest of my gremlins in the next 5 days, aka before the December game day!

@Grant - lovely porkers! That’s a lot of pig. I’ll need to have a look at their cards. I have no idea what a piggie with a gremlin on it does, but I suspect it’s nothing good…

@jus - that’s some bloody nice work on your dragon (and his rider). The colours on the beastie are subdued but very believable, and the sparklies on his hammer are also great. The use of the beige/pale brown as the highlight shade for both the green and the brown bits really ties it together, while also making the hammer stand out (but not jarringly so). Off the top of my head, I think it might be one of, if not the best things you’ve done. Both thumbs up 👍🏻 👍🏻

@Stu: Thanks mate 3d printed, you betcha!

Thanks! and all that bacon. Love it.
Also I notice you use Scale color! I was actually debating on whether or not to switch over to using them. Are they really better for blending like some claim?

@mij: Thanks! Really put my soul into this one. I worked on it for 2 weeks straight for a painting competition for patreons. Really a lot of great entries by people who know what they are doing. Exhausted, but happy with how it turned out. On to the next project. The frost Jotun beckons, but then I'm really excited for their (Artisan Guild's) vampire knights release in January.
