I want to keep going but I'm full and not sure how much food I have in. Brilliant mate, nice one. :)

I did have fish and chips tonight, home cooked by Mrs Gamgee and breaded mushrooms so I'm a third of the way there. Perhaps I should watch the Two Towers now with tea and toast and then Return of the King tomorrow with all the trimmings.
Wife and kids are off to Turkey for a month in summer.

May need to sort out a LOTR marathon/BBQ.

Argh! Re-basing epic miniatures (about 60 bases worth) is a deeply tedious experience.

After much cutting, picking bits up off the floor and a headache brought on by poly cement fumes, I have this:

3,100 points of Space Marines and an allied titan. The titan will probably end up in Warp Runners colours, but I'm not sure about the Marines yet.

Got the base coat on a scratch built Aegis line. Should get that done this week and then on to getting a quad gun put together, it stands about 25% together now.
I've been watching LOTR with my little girl in bits and pieces, just got up to the Balrog scene. Too bad we missed the Hobbit when it was in the theatre.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

@Mus: that's a great idea. I have holiday in August so that's possible. I fell asleep after 30 minutes of the Two Towers so I'm going back to it now with breakfast.
Bacon and what was it?
Mushrooms!

Good going Andrew. Hope the room is well ventilated. :)

Today I have so far BBQd a couple of steaks, some chicken wings, and some drumsticks.

I have also quaffed some ice cold yebisu. And it is still only 2:30!

Rock n Roll. It's been a corker of a weekend hasn't it. I'm on my second beer and half way through Two Towers.
We've just been to the park with Liam for the second time in two weeks. It's perfect BBQ weather. We must sort out a gaming BBQ or Lotr marathon this year. Great idea.
I've even got a bit of painting in and listened to the LOTR radio play.
Geek overload but its a fine day.

I, too will be around this summer, although I may not be so able to get away in August as the baby is due early September, thus Kaz will be somewhat less able to chase around after a (I guess) vexingly mobile Sean at that point. Still, I live in hope I might be able to pop in for a bit, at least, should such a BBQ/LotR extravaganza come to pass. Early August would stand a better chance than late. Just saying :)

Oh, and for the record I am feeling much more positive towards Oz right now. I went to a barbecue this afternoon where I had steak, chicken and 'roo, as well as beer, and then for dins I had a rather flipping good burrito. Sufficiently good that I might well go to the same place tomorrow. Finally, to round off the day, I found irn bru in the supermarket. Now comes the challenge of actually getting it home...

I spent today playing WFB with the Japanese Beginners Club in Zengo along with a few NagoyaHammer regulars. It was a lot of fun and the location was great too.

So I managed 5 games over 2 days with 4 wins and a draw. Not a bad weekend's work. Mind you, my feet are killing me from standing all day.

Just finished the bridge to span the lava river which I also finished today. Then got the second last coat on the vindicator and whirlwind tanks and got some work started on an eldar dreadnought (target practice). Then got some painting done on the landing pad that is in the works and figured out exactly what is what on it. And spent the time with my girl today at a beach cafe and then the local mall. Sounds like everyone had a good weekend.

The landing pad kit or another scratch-build?
