What did you do today.

Yesterday I painted some bases on my Romans and cleaned up and primed some Celt skirmishers. I had intended to do more, but I got bored painting bases and wasted my time on the internet instead.

I done made a prototype corsair jetbiker! He's kinda...minimalist, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Everything is just blu-tac'd together just now, so changes can be made. What do y'all think?

Today I played two games of Blood Bowl and one game of Street Bowl with Yellowstreak. I won one game, drew the next and lost the last, so the result for the day was pretty good for both of us. The highlights for me were reducing a Chaos team down to one player by the end of the game and having a Black Orc trampled to death by a wild pony. Fun games!

I went to MiJ's place today for 1750 game of 40K.

I got spanked.

I learned that;

KillKannons are not great.
Avatars kill stuff.
T8 can be bloody tough to deal with.

MiJ, as always, was a generous host, and much hoppy goodness was quaffed (by me primarily).

Big thumbs up for those! My interest in BB just perked up a notch.

Today Spev very kindly came over and partook of a game of 40k, my first with the new eldar dex (yeah, I know, glacial...)
He had a bunch of orks and I had a bunch of eldar. It was a clear win for the pointy ears in the end, but that was largely due to the non-competitive nature of the game. Quick summary of thoughts:

Scorpions: did nuffin all game
Rangers: got shot
Support battery: lovely jubbly. Any ork silly enough to disembark from its transport was subjected to an orrible floaty web of deff. Highly effective.
Wraithlord: tough as old boots. Almost killed a bunker
Wraithseer: also tough as old boots, and lethal in CC. Worth the points today
Wraith guard: used D-scythes. Will use em again
Avatar: bloody effective. Saw off everything the orks could throw at it in short order.
Dire Avengers: unimpressive, but did get pretty picked on, so not entirely their fault.
Hornet: seemed like it had potential, but got shot up early on.
Dcannon tank: very good. Will use again.
