Next is Spidaz:

With a big tip-o-the-hat to Spevna for suggesting stripes on the legs.

And Artillu... Art... Arrers an' Rocks an' that:

The stone throwers themselves are plastic, from Mantic's undead line. They fit in pretty good, I reckon!

And finally, Boyz. Lots of Boyz:

(That's 2 blocks of 42, each with a Warboss and at least 1 Big Boss, plus Fanatics and - alas, the only thing in the army that isn't WYSIWYG - netters. And a couplea shamans to back them up. 'Em's a lotta warm bodies!)

Could you pleases not mention my name while showing pictures of good looking fantasy armies? I find that it brings unwanted temptation to start my own one ;)

They look great mate.

I'm looking forward to seeing them in the flesh at Joshin this month.
Oh, I'm going in expecting them to fold like origami - I didn't pick goblins because I thought they'd be well hard, heh. Still, apparently 8ed does agree that quantity has a quality all its own, so you never know!

And would people hate me if I got a third rock lobba at 2500? They're so cheap! :D
Feel free to call me Dave!

They are, but I would wait until the new book comes out. I heard that they are moving to rare slots, so you can only have 2 of them (I think).

I was scrolling idly down the page, thinking "what a lovely looking gobsmurf army", when I reached the pics of the big blocks of infantry. My left cheek started to twitch sympathetically. Ye gads, man! Verilly, I do doff my hat to thee! That many infantry is why I cant, just cant play fantasy. They look great, mate. To quote a late, great fellow Scot, "Fandabidozie!"

still working on the Kabal of the Gimpy Knee, but before I unleash em upon the world, I have a question:

which base rim colour works best, d'you think?

Image

The bases themselves will have red blood splashes on em, but not so much that the white is covered up. The white is tinted/shaded with turquoise, btw, to match the darkest shades on the splinter rifles. (which are darker than the pic makes em look. yeesh, photography...)

Anyway - rim colours. Suggestions, anyone?
