Yay for Seb and his right and proper fixation on doing fluffy armies!

Sir, I salute you. Go Khorne! All Khorne! Nothing but Khorne!

Anyway...

A greater brass scorpion is one of these

It's a super heavy vehicle, and as such is only game-legal in Apocalypse. It is also a very expensive piece of kit (altho its a big bugger, which kinda justifies it. See the bottom left pic in the set of 9 for comparison)

If I played Khorne, I would buy one, cos it's cool.

A Blood-slaughterer is one of these:

a good deal cheaper than a BScorp, and also legal in games of regular 40k. However, because it's a forgeworld model, there are a lot of tournaments that dont allow its use. For day-to-day use, though, most people are fine with it. I use my blight drone all the time when I play my stinkies.

While we're on the subject of FW, if you play Khorne, are this and this not utterly tempting? (despite the price...) Heck, I want to buy the Bthirster and I dont even play Khorne! Its just so, ultimately "rraaaaaaaaaaaaargh!"

aces!

ps the rules for all these bad boys are in Imperial Armour Apocalypse 2

or you could go the Evil and Bad torrent route. Not that I'd know anything about that. ;) (actually, I do legitimately own that book - it has rules for Eldar and Nurgle stuff in it. Its useful, n stuff...)

pps - that uber bloodthirster can be used as a regular 'thirster, or as ChompyTeeth The Special (or whatever he's called) which is a special super-heavy daemon for apoc games. He costs 888 points and Kicks Ass...

eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

To be honest, I've always preferred the "two defilers stuck together" brass scorpion over the FW one. Pikey's Scorpion of Slaanesh looks like a scorpion. The FW thing looks a bit silly.

But yes, FW's greater daemons are aces. I think Seb is a long way off playing Apocalypse yet though.

(Apocalypse is 40k with a MINIMUM of 3000 points to play. Pikey and I played a 12000 point game recently and I played 16000 points with Badruck a while back. Both games were absolutely awesome and took 2 days to play through).

actually the huge demons can be fielded in a demon army of 2,000 points or more. Don't have the Khorny one, but I do have one of them and they are top quality, just a bit hard to transport around with their dynamic poses.

all that is cool stuff and I would say that Land raiders do not show up a lot and even if they do the do not kill Khorne armies particularly unless they are the Grey Knight types with all the bolter rounds that shoot through invul-saves... those really hurt... but other than that... Khorne is not only fun but fairly good at killing stuff...

best way to deal with a land Raider is to roll a few sixes with the blood thirster.... with 6 attacks on the charge a normal roll a bout 2 and that is normally enough to take one out...

nothing against Mike the lets shoot rather than run at the objective, but is scorpion does not even hold a candle to the FW Brass Scorpion... to Defilers stuck together is a fun project but will never look as cool as the FW model...IMHO...

Technically speaking only the Khorne and Nurgle daemons have that option. The Slaanesh and Tzeentch daemons dont have that rule in their entry. Though I'm sure a good natured opponent would be willing to let that slide if someone wanted to run one of those models.

My first step is to get some bloodletters and build from there. My goal is to get 500 points done until Nagoya Hammer.

But in the end I might buy the FW Bloodthirster, I need one anyway and might as well get one that looks good. If I can find something cheaper that looks good I might go for that too, but the old GW metal bloodthirster doesnt cut it for me.
