Seems like you all have good progress on your projects!
And I am now in a position to report my progress too, compared to you guys my Nagoya Hammer army is a lot smaller, I ony need 500 pts for the first day and 750 for the second but I haven't got very far yet so here is my status:

HQ: assembled
Infantry: 2/26 models assembled
Vehicles 1/2 base coated

decided that the baron can take a sabatical for a bit, and put him and his cloak on the "to do later when I can be bothered" list.

I spent about 4 hours today faffing about with masking tape, and about 2 hrs actually air brushing, with the end result that two of my raiders have lovely golden keelblades, prowspikes and danglyhooks, and all 3 of my raiders (and both ravagers) have some rather dang sexy aethersails. The two raiders also have some blingswoosh, as removing it from the one I half did already proved too emotionaly traumatising for me to go through with.

How many new words can MiJ make up to describe the bitz of a dark eldar raider? well, we'll just have to wait and see, wont we :P

ps - oh, and the baron's hoverboard is mostly done. Just need to do the turquoise bits (weapons mostly) and a lone skull. I've generally tried to avoid adding extra bitz to my dark eldar, as it just slows down painting time for no great reason, but this partic'lar skull is impaled on the end of his hoverboard right behind the engine exhaust, so presumably gets roasted every time he accelerates. I thought that was worth doing :D

Well I spent most of today painting bases, but I did get some other stuff done. I made some progress on the reinforcements I am doing for someone else's army and finished off one vehicle. I also painted a mini from Dust Tactics which I will be taking piccies of and posting tomorrow when I have some free time.

huzzah! the baron's hoverboard (and its base) are done and finished. The baron's cloak is a WIP - maybe I'll paint over the two celtic swooshies, and maybe Ill do just one more so that at least it's symmetrical. As for the baron himself? Tomorrow...

incidentally - Daaaaaamn, but airbrush overspray's a bitch. Seriously, sometimes I wish i had a big bucket o masking fluid I could just dunk things in and scrape off the bits i want painted. Every bleedin time I airbrush something, i get overspray. Doesnt matter how much i mask. I always, Always, miss a bit :( Two of my raiders now have golden overspray speckle on em. Ach well, we can pretend its pixie dust or something :D

right: wot I did today: painted all the worky bitz on 9 (count em - 9!) hoverboards. Its all looking a bit Tron at the moment (turquoise light-lines on a dark, dark red b/g) , but hopefully some blighted gold will sort that out...

as for the baron: nowt. was feeling in a vehicular mood today.

good freaking god.

I packed up my dark eldar for the first time today (theyve been in various states of bitzness for the past few months while I was painting them, and in fact many still are, however Ive got a game against Ash tomorrow morning) and while doing so, I discovered a Great Unspoken Truth about the evil pointy ears.

They dont fit in anything. at all.

Seriously. Hellions. I cannot find an expletive strong enough to describe quite how impossible they are to transport. They are, approximately, 2 citadel-case spaces high, 3 if you want to keep them on their flying stands (which you do, as they are not removable. Ya gotta glue em or magnetise em), 2 spaces wide, and (the killer) about 2 tray layers deep. i.e. each hellion, if packed in a citadel case, takes up 12 spaces. Reaver jetbikes are also problematic, but not quite as much (you can fit 2 of em in 3 spaces, if you rip out the dividing foam.)

If you want to want to be creative, like me, and make your own wee box, just for the hellions you need one about 15" long, 9" high and 4" deep. Thats a fair size box. say, about the same size as a battleforce box from GW. Even then, you need to custom design spaces for each and every hellion, lest they roll about the place and damage each other.

And dont even get me started on the raiders/ravagers. Yes, huge great spikes on the bottom of them seems like a good idea, until you realise it means they NEED their flying bases to be transported. At least I had the sense to magnetise their sails and the gunners on the ravagers.

Seriously. 7 hours today I spent making things to carry my dark eldar in. I cant even order custom foam from battlefoam, as they dont do variable height foam, and thats what Id need if I wanted to get my hellions in the same case as any of my other models.

oooooooh, give me strength! :x

The thing I have done to transport my army..

Bought a big toolbox at a DIY store for 800 yen, bought some foam for some thousand yen, and then I cut out everything so it fits neatly in my toolbox, Doesn't really matter how much space one of my models take because I can adjust it to the toolbox by getting some more foam and cutting it out in good size. Then I just stick my toolbox in a big hiking backpack or some other bag.

I don't know if this helps but battlefoam are pretty expensive i guess and doing it this way you can customize how you want to carry your army completely, height, width etc.
Well the only negative is that when you cut it it won't look very nice but who cares? It is just for transporting anyway.

I don't know if this was helpful or not but from my own experience this is a cheap and safe way to transport my models.

Almost got my army done. 1 character model and 1 vehicle to go and they just need some detailing. :D
Vehicles - 5/1
40mm Base Infantry - 7/1
25mm Base Infantry - 59/0

Lots more work to do here though.

DEKITAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

Thats it. 2000 points on the nose finished, done, beaten, vanquished. Every model is glued, based, painted, washed, weathered. Every insignia has been done BY HAND, not a decal in sight. 67 Infantry, 6 vehicles and a buttload of attitude ready to kick ass and chew gum. It is DONE!

Now for those sodding reinforcements for someone.....
