Today I had a cracking fry up in the morning and spent the day reading Fantastic 4 from the 70s. It's really naff but entertaining.
Also introduced our kid to model making with this Thomas set from Diablock. Discounted in toys r us at the moment. Not bad for 2000 en you get 6 characters.
Image
ImageI think I had more fun making it than he. :) He's got a cold today so we are chillin. The kind of days I like best. No dashing around. Yesterday we held our annual Halloween kids party which was fun. I was really pleased my son joined in on his own steam and was shouting the flash cards just as loud as the regular students. All done for another year. Can't wait to watch some Halloween stuff tonight.
Paranormal activity 4 is downloaded and I have some Poe puppetry films to watch. Weird.
Also reading Island of Dr Moreau this week. Suitably scary.
Happy Halloween fellas. :)
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

I went to a Kodomo Home to play with the kids for Halloween so didn't paint much but still I got to take advantage of this need of keeping painting and finished a plasma gunner and got half way with my Platoon leader and another plasma gunner.
The number of plasma guns in my IG is starting to worry me :?

Finished up most of the decals and most of the yellow on the assault squad - one more quick pass to smooth the yellow out, then chapter symbols and red for eyes and purity seals, and they'll be done!

Also thought about ordering a small batch of clear acrylic bases so I can do up some more ork mind slaves and a squad of chaos marines.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Did some painting will post pictures of it later, discovered dexter, heard of it finally watched it and i am liking it sofar. Played a lot of Dragon's Crown and WH40K Space marine online, there were some shitty teams online, because i got a few 7 kill-streak going, meaning the other players really sucked because i am really a bad FPS player (i usually play games like Battlefield, where i just can play a supportive role).

This evening I spent oodly oodles of money on a new PC. It had better do the bloody dishes and take care of the kids once it gets here, let me tell you. Oddly, though, altho the cost (which shall remain undisclosed) makes my left eye twitch, when I consulted the missus she was quite happy with it. 'S funny how women are, sometimes. A bajillion yen PC is ok, but an unfinished piece of toast is mottainai. *shrug* Go figure...

@M_i_J - Dude! You've got to finish yer toast mate. You can't just throw stuff like that away. What were you thinking?

Today I put a little more paint on a couple of models. My goal is to get my current load of projects cleared off my desk ASAP as right now I have 40+ models (all from different games) cluttering things up. It's time for the hobby butterfly to get lost and for me to start making some serious effort at getting stuff done. :D

I spent my day yesterday painting more stuff and came with the great idea of snapping the flimsy original GW gun shields from my autocannon HWT and scratchbuild some more along the lines of WW2 AT guns... as my punishment I've been trying to glue the wheels and the whole thing keeps falling apart  at this rate for the next Nagoyahammer my HWT will be a mountain of glue with some autocannon bits sticking out.
