I primed some stuff, and finished blocking out the main colors on my terminators. Which means I'm about 80% done with them - they have relatively little in the way of yellow, and no decals at all, and those are usually the two big time-taker-uppers.
What did you do today.

Nice! I love how "slap whitewash on the tank with a mop" is both historically accurate and easy to replicate.

Re: What did you do today.
No hobby time today for me, but the evening was spent ironing shirts in preparation for the rest f the week, so hopefully that'll buy me some time later. I console myself regarding my lack of hobby time with the fact that it could e worse. My wife is being driven slowly insane by the 20 month old and the 2 month old. Boy The Elder has already hit The Terrible Twos (despite not actually being two yet) and Boy The Younger is far, far more needy than his brother ever was. There's definite tag team action going on there...
On a more hobby related note - nice work, Prim! Yer a veritable powerhouse of mini painting. Much respec' to ya

Terrible Twos are never fun. Doesn't matter how nice a kid was before the age of two. They all bloody go through it. If it is any consolation mate, kindergarten makes a BIG difference. Until then, just healthy doses of patience (and booze) to help you cope

Re: What did you do today.
Painted up my terminators' helmets white. Remembered vividly why I gave up on all-white paint schemes.
Looks sweet, PITA to actually paint. Gonna take a break before I go in and bring up the yellow.

Today I put the first coat down on a squad of IG, added a wash to my Raven Guard and converted a Necron warrior into a Flayed One. For the record, Flayed Ones are the worst unit in Codex Necrons. An assault unit with Initiative 2, 3 regular attacks and no special rules like rending or any option to take power weapons.

@spev - ta for the moral support. I shall endeavour to keep the chin up.
@stu - that sucks. Flayed ones look the business. Good on ya for building em anyway, rules be damned
Today I spent the evening filling up a defiler's arm with lots of teeny tiny wee skulls.

@M_i_J - It doesn't help their case that Flayed Ones are Finecast as well...
That Defiler looks like a lot of hard work. Ganbatte!

Got a good start on a Bones...Flesh Golem I think he is. Got my wet pallete all set up and had a nice rhythm going. Started basing coating an Extra Squat Ork I built with left over putty from my bulldozer crew.
@MIJ- I like all the bits you are sticking in that Defiler. Just be careful and leave room for the lights. You are lighting it, right? I won't be impressed until I see some fiber optics shining in there.
On painting stubble, Vallejo Somber Grey. It's just about as useful as Devlan Mud. Nice cool blue-grey, with just the faintest hint of violet to make it interesting.

Sounds suspiciously like an Elf colour to me. Are you sure you're feeling ok? No urges to pick flowers and start dancing through the meadows? No desire to hug some trees and live at one with nature?Konrad wrote:...with just the faintest hint of violet to make it interesting.
