I worked through a brief period of Intense Decal Frustration to finish up the off-chapter (to be rescued from a cocoon or cyst or something if the right random event comes up) marine for Advanced Space Crusade. Next up is a couple bases of heavy dragoons.

Although, I am hopelessly uncool, I am going to have to tally up the models I need to finish by May and do my own signature.

Today, I worked on painting the land forces in my DZC force.

Painted a Squat Ork, puttied odds n' ends, flew a kite, watched sumo. Not a bad Sunday.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Sprayed all my corsair bases yesterday (bloody challenging, given the wind yesterday. Konrad's kite flying was defo a more sensible idea), and just about finished tidying up my captain (just little bits of GS, pinning of arms, etc.) Hopefully, today I can start actual painting :)

Incidentally, I realised I'm (again) falling into the trap of allowing my hobby to become a source of pressure. My plague hulk has been sitting on my desk in pieces for months, reminding me how much work still needs to be done before the GDs. At te moment, though, what I really need to get done is my corsairs for Naghammer. As a result, I feel a constant nagging sense of impending time's-up. I feel (on a kind of low-lying level) guilty if I'm watching a movie or playing Total War or something, and not painting. This, I feel, is dumb. Painting, movies, games - they're all just there so I can enjoy em and relax. If they're stressing me then I ain't approaching it right. Thus, I'm backing off my GD goal for the moment. If Plaguey gets done in time, all good. If not, then that's fine too. No rush. I will, however, be keeping a tally of minis painted, mostly just cos all the cool kids are doing it 8-)

I spent my free time today painting bases. Not much to say really. Brown, brown and more brown. :D

Well. That's gone and done it. Due to a wifely stress-meltdown (not a shouty one, thankfully) all painting will now be adjourned until balance is restored to the force. This could be anything from a week or so to several months. If it turns out to be the latter, I apologise in advance for my increasingly frustrated posts...

Just when I was starting to get my painting mojo on, too. Ah well. That's family for ya *shrug*

ps - this could result in my corsairs magically becoming dark/vanilla Eldar for Naghammer. Dunno if that matters particularly, but thought I should mention it.

Didn't have energy to do any painting beyond my "make detail visible" grey drybrush on the heavy dragoons on the workbench, but got a bit of prep started on the next batch of stuff to be primed: light dragoons and artillery for napoleonics, a unit of infantry in transports and a dropship for DZC, and a unit each of elves and goblins plus heroes for both for Bo5A.

@MiJ: On the other hand, that may give you a chance to deal with the outlook you talked about in your previous post? Bright side and all that.
