Hum
looks like magnets are in, then, I spose. Problem with Eldar is they don't do general purpose. They have "kills infantry quite well, bounces completely off tanks" or "reliably kills either one tank or one guardsman" or "will kill 1 space marine" guns. They have nowt that "kills a few infantry and might kill a tank if you're lucky"

Other than missile launchers, you mean? Or, in the case of Vypers, arm them with a shuriken cannon and a bright lance.
Mind you, I'm personally of the opinion that Falcons have a pulse laser and scatter laser and War Walkers have a scatter laser and bright lance. End of.

Re: What did you do today.
@agp - hmmm. I hadn't thought of EML. That's a very sensible idea, actually. I agree on the falcon loadout, but things may change down the line (new editions, new rules, etc).
I'll see how it goes this evening. If I get hacked off with it I may just stick em.
Btw, I'm looking for a bit. Does anyone have a spare:
Circular bit that goes under Eldar tank turrets, usually found on wave serpents but also used for the prism cannon? It's the small, flattish dome with another circle indented into it that te main turret sits into, somewhat offset from centre. It's a bit of a long shot, tbh, but it can't hurt to ask
@jehan - I order my magnets. The last bunch I got I bought from some eBay store based in Australia. Wasn't too expensive at all. I never go to Joshin - the nearest one is in Nagoya, an hour away from me. I live in the deepest darkest inaka

Re: What did you do today.
Still no painting this year. There just isn't time with a little boy in the apartment. He's already found the dice and Talisman so the minis are out of harms way.
Having said that I'm going to paint something tonight by torchlight.
MiJ: totally know what you mean, I burnt out on painting about a year ago when it started to feel like a second job. Follow the advice you gave me, nothing wrong with taking a break from the hobby so you can enjoy it again in future.
Painting minis is the best thing you can do relaxing wise when you are into it. If it feels like work, save it for another time.
I'm hoping to get 200 painted this year, anything near or beyond that is a bonus.

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Painted one more Juve miniature for Dredd. I slowed down because there is no real colour scheme for futuristic delinquents, and finding something that works is tricky. Some of the Muskets and Tomohawks items I ordered arrived, Indian and Highlander starter sets from Northstar. Quite nice sculpts, if a bit flashy.

Re: What did you do today.
So, I compromised. I realised that since my falcon and one of my hornets was already magnetised I'd have to either magnetise guns specifically for them while gluing guns on the others or just bite the bullet and magnetise em all. What I ended up doing was (for the moment) magnetising a scatter laser and a pulse laser for each of the falcon and hornets, and a couple of EMLs for the wave serpent. If I find I rilly rilly need to start swapping other guns out, I can do it later.. Might do a couple more scats in case I need to start shooting TL energy waves at people. But for now, my magnetising is done. Now, onto building that bloody extractor hood...

Re: What did you do today.
Today I finished off a unit for Black Powder:

They took 2 weeks to paint up and base from scratch and put my total at 75 minis done this year. Sweet.
I also finished the basing on some Hussars and Dragoons tonight, ready for Sunday's game.

@ PRim: Nice work. It will look awesome on the table, Sunday. And Dragoons also, eh?
Tonight I finished up adding highlights and basing stuff to my French infantry, and then highlights and some pigment to my Panhards.

Re: What did you do today.
Did zilch-o painting this week, what with work and related shenanigans. Hopefully I'll be able to sit down at the table for a couple hours over the weekend.
Got some Very Tiny Hoplites in the mail, tho!
