I thought I would post a link here to the still freely available, older pdf for the Dredd Miniatures game, which Mongoose have on their site:

http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/pdf/jdmg.pdf

The new book from Warlord is basically a much sexier rewording/reformatting of this initial pdf.
I believe that certain game breaking abuses have been stamped on in the newer version, and there are some small points differences. The new book also has a wide range of vehicles, The Dark Judges, Sov Judges, more talents, abilities, characters and so on - more stuff, but not particularly different stuff.

By and large the mechanics and core of the game are the same as in this still fairly hefty 108 page free pdf (did I mention it is free?) so it might whet some appetites out there. Some of the sculpts for Dredd were a bit hit and miss the past, as evidenced in the book, but the recent stuff is much better as the range is updated.

By the way, yes, I am awake at around 2am, because I am at the in-laws learning just to what extent newborns wake up and do the whole nappy dirtying thing.

Italian tanks & heavy weapons are also waiting painting.
Finishing these, I will complete building Italian army for boltaction .
Do anyone have suggestion for next army building? Another faction of boltaction or another historical game?
Let me know.

Hot water heater busted today. No hot water and the office is silent on what they are going to do. Guess they want me to go to school smelling ripe on Wednesday.

@Voss - y'know, if a regular guy were to complain that the whole world was out to get him, my usual response would be "buddy, get over it. It's just a coincidence." But with all the crap that life has thrown at you recently, I'm starting to think that maybe the world is out to get you. Best of luck sorting out the heater. Surely the company is legally bound to sort that out? It's their property, after all - you're just the sub-letting tenant.
