Seriously, when painting individual models, thats fine, but when I need to get an army done by a deadline (tournament, event etc) you can go whistle if you think I'm spending that much time on it.

Not when you have 50 of them to do and only 6 weeks to get them done they aren't. Then they are a production run of 50 identical pieces.
Painted Minis in 2014: 510, in 2015: 300, in 2016 :369, in 2019: 417, in 2020: 450

's funny - thats almost exactly the situation that Im in, too, except i have to go to australia for 10 days.

Im still gonna paint em properly though. If they aint finished in time, then they aint finished in time. I have no intention of botching them just to get "painted models" on the table. Its not the paint that matters, its the quality of application.
