As usual, my post is more "What I've been up to these last few weeks" rather than just today.
Anyways, I finally got these guys painted up and they made their (disastrous) debut against TOD last Sunday at Joshin.

TOD has something with his love of all things tiny. These guys paint up so quickly. They had been sitting prepped and ready for go for a while but the majority of the painting was done in less than 2 weeks.

They look verra' nice in person too!

I noticed that v1.5 of the list does include the Leviathan as a transport rather than a war engine - is that the one you were using?

@TOD: I was using the 1.4 list. 1.5 also shifts Overlord Armoured airships to a support detachment rather than War Engines. IMHO the huge War Engines really were what 'made' the Squats back in the day. It would be nice to have 3 or 4 at 3000 points rather than just the 2 I had. Mind if I try out 1.5 next time we play?

ugh, a true dwarf, regardless whether he is under a mountain or in space would never paint his warmachines purple!

@ MtP: Very cool army. BTW, how did you manage to locate the models?

The other day I got my Dropzone Commander starter box from Ring-tail. Lots of stuff was included and the rulebook is gorgeous. So, tonight I returned to painting my Dropzone vehicles.

Scored an almost complete copy of Dark Future for twenty-five quid. Missing a motorbike, some weapons and the rules (although I have them all in PDF), but includes three extra cars, a metal bike and about four additional sets'-worth of counters and whatnot.

Why? I have no idea. Ah well.

Awesome! Dark Future was a very fun game back in the day.

I've also got the Black Flame reprints of Kim Newman's novels - updated from 1999 to 2025 and a few more recent pop-culture references thrown in. Gotta love Elvis and the alligator-people fighting a chaos sorceror in the flooded Cape Canaveral control room! :)

Those were awesome books! Elvis lives! Don't mess with the King! Do the reprints have the original illustrations?

No, sadly. They never reprinted the Route 666 anthology or Ghost Dancers/Kid Zero, either.
