This morning I had a little time before going to work so I painted some spears and shields on some Zulus, finished the bases on my Celts and applied a bunch of decals to my Sherman. I just need to weather the Sherman up a little and it is done.

Today I thought about painting and started to wonder if the paints are dried up or not.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Finished off a new gang for Judge Dredd. Was a bit of an exercise in turd polishing as they aren't great minis, but they were fun to paint.

Also took Prim's advice and added some junk/scrap terrain to the table.

Those must be the Gangs of Mega City One plastics from a while back. Are they Citi-Def? They look great!
Still struggling to find time to finish my East Meg Judges. Maybe a few more hours will do it though.

Yep, that's right. You could make Citi Def out of them if you stick to the same bodies/heads quite easily. I'm going to use them as a regular gang though.

Ordered a quad-gun a few weeks ago... it's still on the way so I don't think it will be on time for NH so I decided to work on something else. Hopefully they'll be finished on time.

Managed a bit of paint on my East Meg Judges before work, and a first wash. Might do another hour before bed. Chip away, Lovejoy.
Received some GW stuff I had been eyeing up for a while (the IG codex among a few other things). All very lovely, I have to give them that. What a shame they get things so right in many aspects and so wrong in others.
Anyway, said package included a free Space Marine Capt miniature (nice) and a ticket in a slightly portentous black envelope saying Chapter Approved or some such, which informed the lucky purchaser he has a chance to get another free miniature.
Actually, I lie. This is GW we're talking about - A chance to purchase another (not free) miniature, for rather a lot of money.
Sooo..If anyone is interested, it is at this link- and you can PM me for the code, you can secure this golden opportunity for yourself for nowt. Might be right up someones alley, but at 3000 yen, perhaps not.

re ^

This evening was rather fragmented and taken up largely with annoying fiddliness like attaching hornets to bases (glue wouldnt stick. oh glue, why do you taunt me?), realising that I had used long flying stands which meant the hornets now dont fit in their cases, pull sticks out, redo. Then realised I had nowhere in the case for the gun options (not an issue for naghammer, but a vexation given that I had hoped for a neat wee self contained army in a box) I also found that I need two un-magnetised scatter lasers (and have none spare, amazingly) and to top it off I discovered that I'm short two gun cover things (the bits that attach to the exterior of the heavy weaps on all eldar vehicles). One of those annoying evenings that I had hoped would be a nice relaxing start on my captain but in fact turned into a chain of annoyances.

Bed time, methinks...

On the plus side, +6 to the painted minis total! Wooo! Yeeaaaah! :D

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

No painting progress from me yesterday, but I did manage to get two games of Bolt Action in with Pikey's Maoris. In the first game his infantry managed to overrun several of my squads in quick succession and capture the objectives. In the second, I kept a more respectful distance and poured on the fire from SMGs, assault rifles and LMGs, managing to sweep him from the objective at the end of the last turn. In both games the best I could do to his Sherman was to immobilize it and harass it with pin markers, though it still hit with it's main gun several times. Next time I'll bring something with a bit more punch.
Thanks for the games Pikey.

Glued some rivets on the Digga-Waggon. Got the Harpoon gun cobbled together. Now for mud-flaps , a bit of chopping to make room for a gunner and some gubbinz and jobs a good un. Oh, and then I have to paint it..... 50% done......... Did a bit of sculpting too. Put a row of spikes on a gauntlet. I'm really starting to love Pro-Create.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....
