Congratulations on getting the Paras done.

Today I painted 1 marine. I need it for my 500 point list and realised I hadn't done it at about 3pm this afternoon. All done now though. I also got half a Tamiya Truck kit assembled. Oh yeah and I moved over a dozen boxes of terrain from my room to the front hallway ready for NH2014 tomorrow. :D

See you all there.

Finished my home guard additions, BEF models actually came out nicely, anti tank gun looks alright, but I couldn't do the home guard bicycles in time. No, matter, they were just a quirky extra...Armadillo and tractor could do with a dry brush, but I think I've exhausted brownie point total with the wife, so am now ending the day with movies.

It is nice to have no painting priorities!

So, after bicycling back from Ichinomiya with my wife, I painted up just a driver figure for 231/9.

Spent yesterday in Kyoto with my wife. I got a nice sunburn across the back of my neck and my face and walked for miles. If I wasn't absolutely knackered after NagoyaHammer on Saturday, I was after Kyoto on Sunday. Today I get to spend my day restoring my gaming room to some semblance of normality and packing my terrain away.

Today I asked my wife if she missed me over the 3 days I was away gaming. To which she responded No. Fair enough I thought. I've been working 6 days a week, towing the line for the last 2 since the baby was born with little or no affection my way, following all the rules of bringing up kids on her terms rather than how I see fit. Now I don't actually care what will happen if that's her attitude. Back to the minis I reckon and doing what I enjoy. You can give too much in a relationship I've found. Time for some me time. :)
She reckons she doesn't miss me 'cos we are always together or some psychic nonsense. Good enough I guess, I can be happy with scraps of affection rather than nothing I guess. I'm done being a victim of the marriage though to be honest. Enough is enough. Self respect brothers and sisters.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Family stuff since Nagoyahammer for me mostly. So I have just been enjoying fussing over the baby a bit (not that he does much, but you know..) I've been watching some Harry Potter movies with my wife for fun and for language practice (Japanese audio with English subtitles, surprising what you pick up) I'm also looking for new job possibilities as I decided to leave my current eikaiwa gig in mid-July.
Vitally to this thread- some painting. I've tidied up my Mega City Judges for Dredd, they look more comic-book-colourful and better highlighted now, more, well, Dredd.
I'm also working on some re-enforcements for the Justice Dept- on the table now, two judges on lawmasters, tek Judge, 2 Mechanismo Droids, med judge, flying squad judge, heavy weapons judge.
I've been listening to an audio book called the Phantom Major by Virginia Cowles while painting, it's about David Stirling setting up the SAS, and is bloody good. Recommended.

Tonight I worked on some Angels of Redemption models along with a 15mm Stug model I have. I've also been working on a thane on shieldbearers model for the past couple of days.

I've been taking it easy on the hobby side of things since NagoyaHammer, but I did manage to get a couple of Terminators put together. I may try and get some painting in today if I feel like it.
