Don't feel too bad. I reckon that a pretty good use of time what with it being spent on house stuff.Primarch wrote:@Jehan & ToD - Nice work guys.
Lately I feel like I haven't made much progress on the hobby front. Sometimes it's a challenge just to think about picking up a brush and on the days when I do feel like it, real life gets in the way. Last night I had about 2 hours where I could have been painting, but instead I spent it sketching out ideas to send to the building company we are thinking to use when we buy our house. Sigh.
What did you do today.

Don't get me wrong, it was time well spent, it just happened to be one of the few times recently that the muse was upon me and I had the time to get a solid chunk of time in with a brush.Spevna wrote:Don't feel too bad. Tell me about it - I'm in kind of a down cycle too. It probably doesn't help that the thing I've set myself up to do "next" is a kind of a PITA stage of a project - skipping it and trying something "fun" might be called for.Primarch wrote:@Jehan & ToD - Nice work guys.

But then (judging from our sigs) both of us got off to a pretty good start this year, so some down time is not unreasonable, is the way I look at it.

Currently my desk looks like this:

I had hoped to field a DE kill team at the weekend, but there's no way they're getting done in time. (So probly it'll be corsairs), but I'm going to press on and finish em regardless.

Up to usual high-standards. Is that a Dark Eldar head? Only he looks very Nosferatu-ish, I like it.

Think of it as a 1-to-1 scale miniature.Primarch wrote:@Jehan & ToD - Nice work guys.

Yesterday I put in my first order with GW in well over 2 years.
New 40k rulebook, marine codex, wood elf book and treeman on its way with some fresh paints. Come on baby let the good times roll.

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Just like old times, eh, with the smurfs and wood elves, playing in Kyoto against the Orks and Brets! I feel a resurgence of interest myself. Not sure whether to buy the 40k rules yet though. My wife is away for a week from this morning, so now would probably be the time to order stuff.ashmie wrote:Yesterday I put in my first order with GW in well over 2 years.
