I bet the Primarch I can beat him to get our armies finished before the Beppu tournament. ;)

I have two harpies left to do. Both are base coated now.
I also have about 37 times the amount of spare time Prim.

Mind you, I do have 3 platoons of FOW models to do before the end of the month, plus my Malifaux crew, plus my ultra top secret Apocalypse project too.

Your army was finished years ago, of course you can finish first. :D

hum. my last post is vexingly contiguous to my current one. vexing, why? cos Im about to prove myself a liar...
will do better tomorrow...
um, no, actually. I got no painting done today. Why? I hear you ask. Because I was watching the Jeremie Bonamant Teboul DVD. All evening. I'm about 1/3 of the way through DVD 1 at the moment. It's actually really, really educational. So far I've even learned some handy stuff about how to spray undercoat (you wouldnt think there was a technique to it, wouldya...) and how to make and use a wet palette. (You can put em in the fridge and use the same paint the next day! how ace is that?!?!) I have also learned that JBT is a slightly wierd bloke, but in a fairly likeable kinda way. He doesnt come across as being a wanker, which is good, as there are more than 7 hours of his chat to wade through on the DVD(s). So, anyway. end result: I'm gonna take a coupla days time-out from painting to watch a french bloke paint stuff on telly. Hopefully corax will be able to demonstrate the results of a better educated dave :)

(for those who dont know who this guy is, or why im spending my time watching his tutorials, look here...)

an interesting remark by mr BT. he's talking about internet forums...

"What happens when a conversation takes place without us? Either nothing happens and nothing was missed or it's full of things happening, and we have not missed anything. Interesting things are said, stupid things too, discussions are ongoing in directions that are similar or different to those we'd want, and you realize that after all, is not very important that you get involved, because what you could say was said by others."

I also find this fresco freehand quite funny...

Hmmm... he's not a bad painter.

Seriously, that guy is awesome. I recognise some of his models from Golden Daemon awards.

Current progress on my pointy eared high born dudes.

I washed the Lion Chariot today and painted the crew's garments in white. Gryphonne Sepia over Boltgun looks quite cool. Gives the silver a bronzish colouring. I may try that again.
I started on the bases for my spearmen and bolt thrower crew.
I didnt touch my Battle Standard Bearer, though I really should as it's quite an important model in the army.
Only 2 days to go till I have to pack them up and fly them to Kyushu. (They're going to be my hand luggage).

The pressure is on.

Primarch: 2 days! You can do it!
Besides, you can finish up the standard bearer on the plane, right? That's what the cup of water they give you is for.

I'm still chugging along on my goblins. 13 of 21 of my second regiment (plus shaman) are done, and the last block of 8 has 2 of 5 colors put down. Then some dipping and base-finishing and they'll be good to go. Should be done by tomorrow night if I work hard, Thursday if I don't.
Feel free to call me Dave!
