Got in some work on the Gorkamorkafota on Monday afternoon. Good hour and a half or so. The students had an early release day, the "real" teachers had a staff meeting. I hid out in the art room and cobbled away. Got a couple of walls starting to take shape. Tuesday evening I was going through the bitz box and planning a couple of Greensteala fingies for the Madmiral to get my sculpting/converting skills warmed up after the summer hiatus and figuring out the next step for my Diggachicks once I feel like tackling a less forgiving subject matter.
Sorry Madmiral, I use your projects as practice. Secret is out.

@jr - metal, sadly. It's more'n my times worth to hollow then out. Nah - it's a green glow for em, when the time is right.

Today, more witch. I did her skin (apart from her sensibly-helmed head, she does seem to suffer a bit from "armour? Ha! I shall distract the enemy with my milky-white thighs and belly! That'll work way better than, say, plate mail would!") and her somewhat patchy armour. Just base coat on the armour for now. Tomorrow shall bring much shading and highlighting thereof.

Also, I am very not-sure what to do with the kinda muddy brown bits (hilt, belty-thing, boob-straps). At the moment I'm leaning towards a kind of neutral bone white, but if y'all got any ideas, I'm all ears.

Yesterday I took a load of photos of the Zulu models I finished earlier in the week, transferred the pictures to my PC, editted them and then found out that my modem had packed in. :( When I move house at the end of the year, I am changing providers, so it only had about 3 months to go before retirement. I'm off to the electronics store today to get a new power supply as I suspect that may be the problem. If not, I'll have to contact my provider and get them to send me a new modem.

Finished the warwitch. She's a bit slapdash, and I still need to paint the base, but overall I'm fairly happy with my cryxy progress of late :)

Nice green, glowy sword there M_i_J.

Today I assembled some plastic minis, undercoated some metal minis and attached magnets to the bases of my Zulu army.

I worked on my French voltiguers along with my guard. I got the two units almost complete. They'll just need a bit more work.

No painting yesterday, aside from finishing up the warwitch's base. I did play some Star Wars online with ToD. A fun game, even if I don't get to be a Twiilek :)

I'm feeling recovered from the Epic day, the terrain-building build-up to it, and all that jazz, and ready to get back to work again.

I think I'll set myself a mini gohoubi goal of getting a 500-point demo force for PHR painted up by October's Zengo day. That's 3 dropships, 4 walkers, 2 APCs and 4 stands of infantry - not too bad, knock on wood! Then I'll get back to my interrupted Middle-Earth goal and try to get everything done by the time Battle of Five Armies comes out in mid-December.

Also, yeah, Star Wars has been good fun, even if MiJ had to make do without head tentacles, heh.
Feel free to call me Dave!
