If I were painting that, I'd do the whole thing in white, then all over again in te brightest silver you have (vma aluminum is good) then all over again in an iridescent white (wot you can buy from Mr Hobby. I believe it's called Crystal color). Then start adding layers of Tamiya clear red until it's sufficiently deep.

I wouldn't attempt a finish like that without an airbrush, though. It'd be nigh impossible to keep the surface smooth enough.

Last night I got a wash down on my unit of Ashigaru and not a whole lot else. Really need to pick up the pace if I want them ready for Joshin.

Stripped and spray undercoated some more of my long neglected orks, the turn of deffkoptahs and warbikers this time. I want to redo the majority of what I have, eventually, as I think I could do a better job nowadays. It could be next year or the year after that I actually paint some, but there's no rush. Since its a reboot, I like the idea of blueskins..or another colour which isn't green. But will Gork be angry?
