Today I worked some more on a transport solution for my eldar. These things take a while to build, but once they're done they'll last me years, and are very good at compressing a lot of minis into a smallish space.

The background one is done, bar the felt inlay. The foreground one needs gluing and reinforcing with blue foam. After these two the infantry ones should be dead easy, as I have a bunch of battlefoam trays that take up most of the space on each layer.

The Robot is part of the Bike, you can give it, legs and arms and then it is Robocon!

@ J-R: I love the uber-bikes. Nothing like a shiny, flying chopper to say "Badass!"

On the other hand, I am very disturbed by the quantity of Hello Kitty heads and the pink hello kitty shrine in the background. I like the scales on the shoulder and knee pads on your las cannon dude/kitty (?).

@ MtP: Does your "Secret project" have anything to do with the End of Times stuff?

Tonight I did a bit of work on the DzC stuff.

@JR- Yeah, that's the one. I have the robots, been meaning to turn them into Killa Kanz. Someday, someday.
Bet you could make them into those Marine, "I'm so bad I got power armor on top of my power armor" things.

And they are done! Americans and Russians for my BA moderns project. Probably about 2-3000pts per side. I'll have to roughly price them out. They are magnetized and color coded too.

Assembled an Armored Car, an AT gun and a 25lb Gun for my BA Kiwis.

Tidied up the man cave in anticipation of my next wave of projects.

Today I: went to work all morning (boo)
Worked a fair bit of the afternoon (double boo)
Came home and had a couple of thoughts. Firstly: I believe I have fathomed out Geedubs' masterplan. I had been moaning about the dark Eldar dex being dull and bereft of all its flavoursome HQ units. But I figure, maybe the new plan is to have nowt but pre-existing (and a modicum of juuuust-prior-to-dex new stuff) in the dex at release, thereby foiling evil Chapterhouse types' plan of making models of GW concepts before GW do, then just releasing new kits on an ad hoc basis, with free to download rules on the net. Again, this prevents Chapterhouse et al from making stuff before GW do. If this is their plan, I approve. Basic stuff in the dex, cool random shit free to download. GW make money from models sold, punters get a drip feed of new stuff on a semi regular basis instead of a wallet-shafting once every 5 years or so. Everyone's a winner, no?

My second thought for the day was regarding Kim Kardashian's bum. Believe it or not, before yesterday I had never seen a picture of said derrière, or even the lady attached to it. While I can understand the kerfuffle all over the internet about the pictures*, I'm rather struck by the fact that all the chat I've seen about them in articles and people's posts has been all very "hey, look, what a big bum. Cor blimey." Does it not seem odd to anyone that waving one's arse (and indeed, most all of her assets) around is now regarded as borderline normal/acceptable behaviour for a celebrity? I'm not particularly fussed, myself, as like many folk nowadays I have been rather desensitised to such things thanks to the internet, but I do still vaguely recall simpler days, say 15 or 20 years ago, when posing for pics like that would have been a death knell for any celebrity's chances at furthering their career. My, how times have changed...

*to be fair, it is quite striking. Still, every time it pops up in my Facebook feed I can't help but hear Alec Guinness' voice saying "that's no moon...' :P

Finally, at the end of the day, I made my first ever Bakewell slices.

Turned out damn well, if I so say so meself. The flawless white, btw, is home made fondant icing. I did not know this until today, but fondant icing is made by taking icing sugar (a fair quantity thereof) and dissolving it in molten marshmallow. Yes. That's a real thing: molten marshmallow with so much icing sugar in it that it solidifies into putty.

And yes, damn right I brushed my teeth after that. Was bloody good, mind you...

Gosh. That turned into quite the wall of text. Sorry. Clearly I have chatty thumbs this evening :)

I thought that the Khardassians were the bad guys on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine?

I believe that the lady (ha!) in question is famous simply for being loud, obnoxious and vain, with a large bum. She can't harm her career except by dropping into obscurity.

While I did not get around to looking at Ms. K's butt, I did get in a good day of sculpting. Got my Diggashaman about 90 percent done, tidied up the face on another digga and used the left over putty to do some Squatification on the side. Got a good start on a Spear-chukka for the girlz new ride. I already got the Digga's bums sculpted. Maybe I should take a look at this famous picture to make sure I did them right.

I could park my bike in her arse, and still have somewhere to rest my pint! There are full frontal pics too, if you were curious ;)

In regards to times changing, keep in mind that Madonna released her book Sex, 22 years ago.
