Had a family day out to Central Air. Liam had great fun running around and visiting the traditional toy shop they have there. We had a lovely lunch together as a family and then caught the ship back around 4. Not so many planes were flying today as we missed the morning rush.
This evening, I en counted a demon of the ancient world, a Balrrrog.

@ Prim: congrats on making it to 500.

Tonight I put a bit of paint on both the demons and the Panther. Then I began applying pigments to my Panther.

@Prim- those GW washes are real handy, but they are tricky to keep. They separate like crazy and strangely for stuff formulated to dry slowly, they dry out faster in the pot than normal paint. I have some GW yellow that is probably 20 years old and I still use occasionally. I just tossed the gellified remnant of some flesh washy stuff (forget the name) a couple years back. I always give them a good, good shake. Sometime I make my own- equal parts acrylic medium, water and whatever ink/paint I need to make the color.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

It's not quite new year but I thought I'd wish you all the best for 2015 before I get sucked too far in. Happy New Year. Image

Got to things off to what is hopefully a good start by finishing off a pesky couple bases of 10mm elves that have been kicking around half-done on my workbench for a while.

Onward!

I had a nice New Years celebration at the local bar, watching some boxing and nhk specials with the owner.

I'm assembling some troops today! Looks like I'll have enough to run a decent sized blob or just MSU veterans, although my options are still a little limited since I didn't get my heavy weapons teams yet. Anyway, I went ahead and ordered some more magnets for use with special weapons, so I'll wait for those to arrive before I finish putting everything together.
