I got my skimmers.

Now I need to figure out what to do with my cardboard ruinscape, and how I'm going to transport it.

@Job and Ashmie, thanks for more input on the house situation, lads. I think we all agree that nowhere is 100% safe and we can't know what'll be around the corner. Seems it's just a case of balancing pros and cons, compromising perhaps, and limiting possibilites for what may happen in future.

We will most probably have to stick to Kiyosu given the kindergarten thing. In-laws are coming in couple of weeks and will take a look at some houses with us. My wife's parents run their own construction firm, so should have some idea what's what.

Not much hobby recently, except thinking about what to take to Nagoyahammer and listing a few ideas. Should it be..Wolves? (already painted, easy peasy) Necrons? (got for a great price from young Jus, completely new for me but need of painting) or Orks? (played them a fair bit in 5th, love them, but would take a shedload of tarting up and painting) The later two appeal a lot more at present. Everyone knows orks are fun to play with and against, which is kinda the point or sumfink. But knowing how how limited my hobby time is it'll probably be the the first lot in baby blue.

Also considering now whether I ought to do a demo game. Trouble is, running one prevents me from joining one. And most of us have had a crack at Dredd now, which is what I would most likely bring.

@ Lovejoy: don't put much weight into my opinion, but I'd say go with what you think you can finish painting. Granted there's a slightly selfish desire of mine to see your finished army (I enjoyed the Dad's army your brought last year) but I also say it because it is nice to be able to complete a whole project. i always feel better if I complete all of army A rather than having finished half of army b. Yes it sounds like I'm suggesting Space Wolves or Necrons, but all I'm really saying is go for what you think you can finish in your free time in the next 3 months. Good luck!

Personal hobby stuff absolutely nothing.

Finally stuck the guns and engines onto the Project (ooh! A hint.! It has guns and engines. It could be...well, pretty much anything, I spose...)

Anyhoo, my current quandary is: to fiddly texture or just leave plain. While I ponder that imponderable, I can get on with the red bits, I spose. And the base, for that matter. Yech. Will it never end?

I've always wondered how those Yamato models compared size-wise to Battlefleet Gothic. What a happy coincidence.

Could be, could be. Or maybe I'm bringing my nurgle and it's a Compensatus class dreadnought...

Got the second base coat (grey, for trousers and packs and such) down for my infantry unit, and did the first drybrush coat for my remaining Scourge stuff. The next step on the Napoleonics is relatively fiddly (red for their coats) so I'm giving even odds I finish up the Scourge first out of laziness.
Feel free to call me Dave!
