The Tormentor heavy flame tanks and their Sinister Cargo (TM) of 20-foot-long murder centipedes are done:

So that's my 1500 points of Scourge done for DzC, and nothing I really want to add to the force. My PHR still wants some expanding - I have a couple walkers and some rocket launchers to paint for my basic 1500 points, then I think I'm going to have to get the command walker with the Super Death Lazer, and since he's slow I'll want some scouts to go with him and extend his field of command. So there's a bit more life in this little project.

I have been meaning to get some of those Chaos Cultits. They would be just perfect for Necromunda.
And speaking of that, started painting up some old Necro figures. Just started the base coat as I forgot my hobby glasses. Showing my age there.........

I'm kind of curious how the assassins game will turn out.

today i wrestled impotently with my naghammer army list :(

I thought I'd gotten it all worked out ages ago, but then I reread the rules for the Plot Character and realised my list didnt have one :( So, I attempted to insert one, but found that in doing so I had to completely nerf the unit he/she was in to pay for him/her. This is an odd quirk of the DE unit rules which basically say that a sergeant-equivalent costs X points, and the only way to provide said points was to remove a squad member. However, removal of said squad member triggers the "must have X models to have special weapon" rule, so by removing that one model I also lose the special weapon, which in Kabalite and Wych squads is kinda the point of them being there.

Hum. I shall ponder this imponderable further...

just as long as I dont need to paint anything else up :? :? :?

ps I realise that its not really all that of a big deal, and in fact is largely self inflicted due to my inclusion of Cool Shit (tm) which costs a silly amount of points and will likely be splatted like a bug in the first turn, but hey ho I've been fighting against the list for an hour now and am a bit cheesed off with it. As Robert Plant once said, aint nobody's fault but mine...
current (2019) hobby interests

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Went to the obstetrician with the wife to see how the baby is growing (everything is fine), had brunch with the wife, prayed at the local Inu Jinya for the health of the child, went home, napped, went to Osu Kannon to pick up some hobby stuff, came home, took another walk with the wife to and through Nagoya Castle park (fine weather), prepared dinner, ate, had a 2nd short nap, and finally worked on the Sicaran tank.

Puttered about on the Stunties today. Took a couple of my old lead ones, and stuck and antenna in the back-pack, rigged up a little brass-wire helmet mounted mike and voila! Vox casters. The 3rd will be an old Squat Musician, unconverted. Dude has a shoulder mounted speaker and a little key-board. I should paint him up all bright and 80s. Got an experimental Stuntie in great-coat with carapace experiment that is turning out rather interesting and a a couple others I might even get sculpted and painted in time to put in the army!
