All quiet for me on the hobby front. I've been indulging in a lot of skyrim since Naghammer finished. Man, that game just will not die, which is good, cos I think I may be a tad addicted... :?

Soooo, in today's news: After nearly 2 months of lycanthropic fun I stopped being a lady werewolf (by means of burning a witch's head on a fire). I also got married (er, to another lady werewolf. Clearly she's got an eye for the ladies, which is, yknow, fine) in a ceremony attended by my two adopted children. I also hired a bard for my house, did a bit of improvement work on my knife and bow down the smithy, and asked my steward to buy me a new cow and some chickens, to replace the ones that bastarding wolf ate. Tomorrow I think I might try to become a vampire.

Skyrim also involves dungeons and dragons and trolls and suchlike, but only if you want it to 8-)

^^You've got further than me in that case.

It's the Dwemer ruins that really stand out for me in that game. Creeping about the remnants of an ancient lost civilisation, deep underground ...scared s***less. Good times 8-)

Yesterday I put in an order for 2 cigar box battle mats..tundra, and muddy barren. The snow'll suit the space puppies and the mud will represent various medieval or cursed earth scenarios (could easily be dusty desert as well as mud)..that's the hobby fund splurged for the next month or two, but as YS was saying on the NH thread, compare the cost of expensive mats to minis and it seems more reasonable. Hope to pick up a frontline mat in future too, perhaps.
@Auxryn, the meganob is looking tip-top!
I'd be interested in seeing what they're like. I was considering ordering some of them before i decided on battlefront.

@YS, I mainly went with cigar box because caliver send them to Japan post free..there aren't many options for mat shoppers. Cigar box have some youtube videos though, in which the detail looks pretty good - that finally decided me on them. Not mousepad stylee, apparently some kind of tough printed linen.. but they look pretty nice. I'll bring them to Joshin when they arrive. That'll be a while I reckon!

Would love to have a gander mate.
You'll need to use something like photobucket to host the pic, and then insert a link here.

Cheers, I think I might have gone a bit overboard with the weathering but hey, it's Chaos. Would love to know what you think.

Why did you put an imperial aquila on the front?
