Today I did some more dancing girl/robot thingy.

The yellow ribbons on the front will be changed to blue, and the long gloves will be the same blue. The corset will be black. Blades and toes will be metal, and that'll be it :) Hopefully finish tomorrow.

@mikball - I don't recall ever posting my board to dakkadakka. Not saying I didn't, just I don't post there much. Is it this one?

If so, presumably the above picture answers your question. Terrain an so on all fits inside a big cardboard box. Nowt fancy :)

@MiJ- Cheers mate,

Found the link last night, hiding somewhere in the dark depths of coolminiornot's comment section. Cheers for posting the pic above and also for your informative comment on link I found. Looks similar to the storage space I'll have. Not looking forward to the processes of moving out but very much looking forward to moving in to the new place.

Love what you've done with the board!

@MIJ-oooooh what a pretty frock.

Actually got in a bit of fig-ifying last night. Have had a weird cold all week. Have not felt up to doing much. Just put the final, final touches on a couple of Stunties. I could go on and on putting on final, final, final touches, but they are not that good to start with. Got the size about right though. I feel they are quite nearly half as good as Bob Olley's were 20 years ago, so I am not displeased in the least.

Finished dancing robot this evening:

And with her friend:

Also, like konrad I am sick :( I've had a right bastarding cough for te past week and a bit. Bloody thing just will not die :( If it keeps up, I may even go and see a doctor, and that ain't something that happens often. I don't feel sick, exactly, but there's way more gloop in my windpipe than there should be. I'm no expert, but starting the day with hacking coughing fits does not a healthy man indicate. I'll see how my wee immune system copes, but I may have to call the cavalry...

"goopy cough" yep, that's what I got. Just about mended though, a week later.
Got some pics of the current wip.

These two are far from perfect, but I'm calling them done.

No painting for me today, (well, not yet), but I did manage a full day of gaming, so I'm happy. Kojibear came over this morning and had a run through of my Ultra-Top-Secret Project, which played out very well. After that we tried Hunters of Ruin and his Gladiatorial Circus trounced my Rat-Kin. After lunch we played a big game of Bolt Action, 1700 points per side of Oberst Prim's Germans against Komrade Koji's Red Horde. Lots of fun, beer and cookies on both sides. It was fun being able to deploy all of my Russian and German armour. On the table we had:
A KV-1, a T-35/76, a BA-64, an M8 Greyhound, two Panzer IV-Js, an 8-Rad and two Half-Tracks, plus trucks a jeep and more infantry than you can shake a Panzerfaust at. Now I really want to get more AFV's built and painted.

@Konrad - Nice Squats, or should that be Squ-nots?

Yesterday I watched far too many episodes of Southland (terrific L.A. Cop drama), looked at Oldhammer forums a fair bit, and read Young Death (in which Judge Death gets an origin story which justifies his admittedly ridiculous appearance and makes total sense). Before bed I got 4 base colours on my 6 man beastkin warband. Think I might give them all red colours for most cloth and garments to bring them together. Seems iconic and old school that way. I could have been more productive painting wise, but it was quite an enjoyable day.
Today will be spent mainly looking after young Louis while my wife meets an old friend.

@Konrad, almost forgot to add - nice work.

This evening I managed to avoid both, although that was partially cos I was parked in front of the PC doing an assignment for uni. Anyway, weening myself off that nonsense and trying to get back to something more constructive. Like painting teeny tiny l'il dancing girls :?

Or something similar. When I got one of these so I could paint in the lounge, instead of in my bedroom next to the computer, I suddenly got so much more painted. :)

Heh. Would work, but my PC is in the living room and my painting desk is in a dedicated hobby room. Moving the paints into the living room would just mean more distraction. Plus, that's where Kaz is :) Also, I'd need to tidy everything back into the painty room every night so the kids wouldn't cover the sofa in bolt gun metal or somesuch.

Nah, the main issue with me is that I'm knackered most days, and wandering around on skyrim/watching Netflix takes up way less mental resources than painting does. Case in point:

Today I watched Transformers:Age of Extinction on Netflix. A few thoughts:
2 hours 45 minutes long. What. The. Heck?
I have seen the previous movies. I came at this armed with beer and Pringles, fully expecting it to be crap. I was disappointed. Not because it wasn't crap, cos it was, but because with some pretty minor edits it coulda been, if not "good" then certainly an entertaining beer n Pringles movie. Wahlberg was fine, blondie was fine, Irish was a bit crap, but seriously, please god someone teach Michael Bay about physics and logical progression. Please. So many times in that movie I was thinking "eh, why the hell would anyone do that?" Or "oh look, the robot caught them and instead of death-by-splatting-into-building they all died due to force of momentum splattering them all over the inside of his hand. Oh. They're ok." :?
Also, Chinese elevator Kung fu dude. Wtf? Does Michael Bay/Hollywood honestly believe that all Chinese people know Kung fu? There is no explanation for this scene. At all. None. Unless all Chinese people know Kung fu.

Oh, and before I go. Geography. They drive from Beijing to Hong Kong. In a matter of minutes.

It's
An
Island!!!!!!!
And not even a nearby one.

A large part of Hong Kong is actually connected to mainland China mate. Still pretty far from Beijing mind.
