Picked up a the new copy of White Dwarf this morning (with a *Free! Stormcast Eternal attached). Been roughly following the banter on here regarding AoS, but not had much time to get involved in the chat. I for one am excited about the new Warhammer & the Stormcast Eternal mini is huge, big as a terminator!

Been chipping away at a unit of Chaos Space marines and a Chaos sorcerer in terminator armour. Slowly getting there.

Also started putting together a Stormtalon for my as yet non-existent Space Marine army.

Spent this evening behind the brush. Managed to get two minis for D&D painted, though I still need to do their bases. I also got a few licks of paint down on 3 other D&D figures and on some more SS Grenadiers. Now though, beer and PC games.

More mannequin. I suspect y'all will be as pleased as I am that this is the last one. This evening, I have been mostly painting...purple. Base coat only with a quick ink for contrast. Need to redo mid tones and highlights. Hopefully tomorrow.

I took a break from trying to defeat the Mamelukes in Egypt, and got to putting down some washes on the Blood Slaughterer and putting on a decal, too.

Yesterday I was supposed to spend the afternoon playing D&D, but instead I spent it hunting hornets. When my wife was hanging out the laundry on our balcony she noticed a hornet sitting on the support for the clothes line. A few minutes later a second one joined it and the two of them just sat there before the first one climbed up the support and into a small hole where the support connects to the roof. Since we don't want a hornet's nest in our attic, we rushed out to buy some super strength bug spray and came back to douse the balcony and the roof in the stuff.
On the plus side, I did get the evening free so I spent it assembling a Tamiya truck kit and cleaning up some Reaper Bones figures.

The top row, left and centre are original Imperial Marines. I've got the third one too :)

Yes indeed, those paper wasps can be a right annoyance! I actually have a bit of a dislike of wasps, having had one fly up me trousers once when I was a lad! :o If they build the nest on the outside of the house it is a right bloody nuisance. If they build the nest INSIDE the house, now that is a bloody nightmare! Hope you got rid of them mate!

we had a wasps' nest in our old flat a few years ago. Long leggity buggers, but actually they weren't too aggressive and we just called the landlady and she sorted em out. If it had been my own house (a la Prim) I'd have been far less sanguine about it. I did have that funny green-spider-parasitising-wasp nest last year, though, i spose. Anyway, I daresay you'll sort it out. Just be thankful it isn't o-suzumebachi. As long as it isn't those, it could always be worse. Best of luck and godspeed* :)

*That said, the sooner the better - my mum and dad found some wasps flying into the back of the house a few years back (yer typical pain-in-the-arse-will-not-leave-you-in-peace-to-eat-yer-jammie-scone-in-the-garden kinda british wasp), and after dithering for a few weeks about what to do about it they found that the buggers had eaten their way through the roofspace and were now flooding into the back toilet through a hole in the ceiling. That motived my dad to get the finger out and no mistake. Let's hope that doesnt happen to you though, eh? :D

*edit* just noticed you actually said hornets, not wasps. Was it actual, proper EEEEE-OHMYGOD-HORNETS or are you generalising? Big terrifying bastards that sound like a harley davidson when they fly. Not those ones, I trust/hope?

ps as for hobby stuff, none today :( Spent the evening marking eisakubun and writing tomorrow's morning announcement. Because clearly an 11 hour working day isnt long enough to fit in everything I need to do
