Two words you don't commonly hear together!

Reminds me of this country classic from the old Lucasarts game 'Full Throttle': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN_SxiP6RZ0

"The population is greatly decreased
And now the odds are greatly increased
That I may someday get a chance to kiss your lips
I thank the Lord each day for the apocalypse

Folks are mostly disfigured or dead
But sugar, I won't let it go to my head
My mama's face has dripped down into the dirt
But I'm still chasing chitlins, whiskey and skirt"
http://romanticallyapocalyptic.com/ No,no really Romantically Apocalyptic, check it out.

And that song made me think of Weird Al's "Christmas at Ground Zero".
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Thanks. :). The leg of the one with the heavy blaster rifle looks better in real life.

white's always a bugger. Nice work on dem troopers, AGP!

also, romantically Apocalyptic is interesting. Could be quite the diversion, if I let it.

This evening, I have been mostly A) writing term tests, and B) eating copious quantities of Irn Bru flavoured macaroon. Now I have finished my tests and have a rather iffy stomachache that does not bode well :( Still, them's the breaks :D

Hobby activity this weekend: 0, although I am starting to feel the tingly palms of impending painteritis...

ps, I narrowly escaped a fate worse than death this evening. I'd brought my school usb stick home to work on aforementioned tests. Said stick is the repository of 8 years of accumulated gumph required for doing my job. Yes, I have backups, but theyre all at work. Anyway. After putting the boys to bed I set about getting on with test-making. Problem was, el sticko was nowhere to be seen. Wasn't on bedside table, wasnt in work bag, wasnt in work trouser pockets. That left...my shirt pocket! I dash downstairs to hear the "beedly beep" of the washing machine being turned on. "Nooooooooes" thinks I. I nip into the bathroom, see the machine do that swirly thing it does to gauge the weight of the load. Turn it off, pull out shirt (mercifully still dry) and...there it is, safe and sound in the top left pocket.

Scary biscuits, lemme tell ya...

After picking up some more hobby supplies this weekend I resumed work on terrain.

I'm considering putting some washes on it. It could probably have some flocking, too.

@auxryn - Flock helps a lot with terrain - gives it a sense of scale.

This evening I actually put brush to mini. It was just a primer base coat, but still, brush, paint, mini. :) I also did a bit more gap filling. Wasn't very exciting...

USB sticks are solid state - dry 'em out and they should be OK. I've washed one before with no harm done. :)

Finally did some painting this week on my Relic figures, before it was to hot and humid to do anything. also the new 32mm bases are the exact same size as the old BFG bases yes, the big ships are 70mm bases though. based some more obscure Japanese ships to uses for BFG

Worked a bit on my new jdmg gang leader - Raven from Raging heroes. A nice mini, but this evening's painting just wasn't playing ball. I haven't put brush to mini properly for almost 2 months, and I'm struggling with the face. Still, progress is progress :)
