I spent the better part of an hour dismantling, cleaning up and reassembling an old (15+ years) GW mini. None of the parts fit together, many of them were very poorly formed and needed to be bent and reshaped. There is a lot to be said for the precision made parts of newer minis.

Got forbidden stars, here is a pic of the size of a strike cruiser and the forbidden stars space marine battleship that i based. Was hoping to do some work on the raging heroes mecha last weekend, but alas, it hasn't arrived yet.

I now have three light tanks, a panzer II, and two panzer 38t tanks for my Germans.

Today I put the base colours down on a pair of Rhinos and a Predator. I would have done more, but I spent most of the day watching the entire first season of The Adventures of Rick and Morty. It's really good.

I was curious about the show mentioned above, so I wikipediaed it (is that a word now? It'll do). Wow, seems it was co created by Dan Harmon, who is responsible for one of the funniest comedy shows I've ever seen in recent years, nay, ever, Community. Really, really good show. I recently discovered that Harmon was a member of the Dead Alewives, who did the now infamous Dungeons and Dragons audio skit ("I cast magic missile at the darkness") This also explained why Community did its own D&D based episodes..The first one they did, with the machinations of the Chevy Chase character, is just brilliantly twisted. Anyway, I hope I've sold it a bit.

No hobby per se. Recently my wife expressed an interest in seeing the hobbit movies, so we've been watching the first two. I don't know whether it's through having a little distance from them over time, or seeing them through her eyes etc, but I was able to enjoy them much more than previously. Many misteps and divergences, but there's some good stuff in there, and Martin Freeman is terrific whenever he's on camera. Still don't forgive the elf-dwarf romance though. :o

Nice - I like those bases! Good idea for demos in particular.
