Have been doing jack-all fig-wise. Just finished grey-stuffing some Catachan/Stunty kit bash figs. Still need to give them a final milliput smooth-over before painting. Been mostly catching up on Game of Thones ("Hold the door! ) and X-men movies.

I worked on my top secret project (not modeling or painting). It might even be ready to go by the end of the weekend if I get cracking.

The jet lag has cleared and the reverse culture shock is subsiding. Life is a lot slower here than Japan. We are currently enjoying Time Team and Lovejoy with tea, fish and chips and a Napoleonic 1000 piece puzzle.
I have a hobby room finally which is a huge relief. Only thing is my Dad has commandeered it as he is obsessed with the puzzle. I'm looking after him after a serious operation he had and genuinely having a holiday before deciding what to do next. Expect pictures of minis and painting. I managed to buy the last box of citadel paints in Toymaster that come with a squad of marines.
So despite the weirdness of being back after 11 years it's not too shabby. Sherlock Holmes is on so I better get dressed and go and have another brew. :)

After about 4 or 5 days of being back my stress levels have gone from the rough time I was having back in Japan and I'm now looking forward to visiting again someday to do all the good bits.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Yesterday I base coated 5 Dark Angel Marines and today I hiked about 10 miles of coastline, ate fish and chips on the beach (my 4th in 2 weeks) and drank some cider. Not too shabby. :)

I haven't had a lot of painting mojo as of late, so not much to report. I managed to fill in a couple of colours on some German Hiwis and a couple of D&D minis. Aside from that I haven't achieved much of anything.

Less time these days and especially recently for hobby stuff. Had a tough week teaching international course students how to tackle the first part of Eiken for their test this weekend.. marked about 80 mock essays over a couple of days, on top of the intense vocab/reading prep..so, a few late trains for me and general stress.
Total War titles going half price on Mac though, so picked up the Shogun 2 and Napoleonic TW games as a treat.
Oh, and tried a bit of Lotro, since it's free. The engine is dated and I'm not interested in playing online with MMO types particularly, but you can play solo and even get to be a hobbit postman if you so desire, which is about as thrilling as it sounds. Relaxing though.

I've been Total Warhammering a lot of late, which is a huge black bottomless rabbit hole of distraction. Hopefully I'll finish within the month and can get back to having a life, if by life you mean painting from time to time.

I also watched Trainspotting again (with my wife) and she said it was amazing how she could understand them all so much better than when she first saw it twenty-odd years ago. So, at least I'm making myself useful :p

Overall, not much going on on the MiJ front, but sometimes that's not a bad thing.
