I spent my free time today painting Bolt Action minis, much as I have been doing for a while. My German Panzergrenadiers are nearing completion, as is the British armour I'm working on. I started painting some scenery pieces and some big guns for the coast of Normandy as well.

Then, I had a look at my to do pile. If I want to get it all done, I won't be sleeping much over the next couple of months. :lol: .... :? :? :?

Been working on a hand. Just one. Just about half done. Might even look like a hand when it's finished.
Sunday was Warhammer Questing. Saturday was about 6 hours of The Walking Dead. Been catching up on that. Just finished up the prison chapter. The hot, summer in Georgia, scenes feel right at home. Been taking inventory around the house, and asides from a hammer and enough furniture to barricade the stairwells, (and a hacksaw, should it come to that....), and I am in poor, poor state of zombie preparedness. On top of that, I can't hot-wire a car. Can't make elderberry tea. Can't even run very fast. Not looking good.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

@Lovejoy Glad you got to come back for a bit. Always welcome here if you visit again.

This week besides playing Heroquest and Space Hulk I've been looking into finding a new gaming group. As usual a bit stretched for folks who play RPGs but there seems to be a thriving Infinity group which is based locally and our local hobby store stocks all the Batman miniatures game stock so there may be life after gaming abroad. Quite excited about fresh gaming venues and possibilities. I will just have to play the games that others play. Once again 40k used to be their main game but got dropped for skirmish games, similar to our Nagoya groups.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Still working on my current batch of BA minis. I should have them done this weekend. After that, more BA minis. :D

@J-R - Nice Limo.
@Ashmie - Infinity is a good game, but it is very precise. Even the special rules have special rules. I'd recommend getting a demo game in before purchasing anything for it. Batman looks tempting I must admit. If people in your area are into Skirmish games, you could always try to get them to play Frostgrave or In The Emperor's Name (Available for free online). If they are ex-GW gamers, they should have minis they can use.

@ash - I agree with prim on Infinity. The rules are solid, there's just a lot of them, and it's very unforgiving of mistakes. However, it is a lot of fun and has fabulously blingy giant robots. As prim also wisely points out, Frostgrave is a very easy buy-in for anybody who has a handful of fantasy minis. Rules are simple and fun while still providing a tactical challenge. Best of luck getting your game on :)

Today I had a BBQ with reggae reggae sauce, 2 Tabascos, hamburger relish and pickle relish. Lovely.

In other news I managed to get an hour or so of painting in with the old Lord of the Rings tapes playing. Yes tape cassettes non the less. I assembled some Dark Angels and added base coats to some Call of Cthulhu mini and a night goblin fanatic. Not a bad day.

@Prim and MiJ

Frostgrave is a lot of fun from what I've played so far. I really should get on with painting the minis I have already. This week I'm enjoying just painting random things not necessarily needed for a game. The guys that run Infinity are based locally and apparently are the creators of the game so I'll definitely check them out at some stage as I think they have tournaments and game events at the Uni. Basically if there is a group or event that is set up and running I'll be attending. Less organising to be done and I can use their minis at first perhaps.

Quick question, before we switched to IMGR for sharing photos on here what site did we use? Something bucket?
I'm trying to track down old hobby pics.
