Today I continued to tinker with my nurgle marine conversions. Mostly the lightning claw zombie lord, truth be told. He's kind of getting to the point where I'm seriously thinking about really neatening him up and painting him up for GD. It's just a major major hassle cleaning off

every

single

mould line.

There's always one you've missed, and in the case of his backpack it's seen a bit of wear, so I'll need to go back over it with putty and resculpt some stuff to make sure it's sharp enough. Today it was a case of going over the pack with fine sandpaper, searching for (and finding) mould lines I'd missed, and general contemplation. I still need to think of a colour scheme, as well as a base for him. Any ideas, by all means fire away.

This is the dark apostle that used to be that ltd ed chaplain from the DV set. You can just see the chappo's head sticking out the ground  Sorry - couldn't resist. Speaking of heads, that's a temporary placeholder head on the mini just now, but it's kinda growing on me.

Looks nice, MiJ. A lot of work has clearly gone into it.

@MiJ - You have the pose spot on. Looks like a proper zombie shuffle.

Nice conversion on the gut of that first figure. Love both of them.

Now, I'll do a little gluing and painting before bed.

Cooked an omelette.
Took stock of my social media sites and decided to cancel FB, Twitter and cleared out my You Tube vids in an effort to start over also to see how long I can get on without them. (During 2008/9 I used to log in once a week to the Internet and I got a lot more painting done).
Came back to the mother ship (Nagoyahammer) to report these revelations. Also played some London Underground Train Sim. Very difficult. But fun believe it or not. :D
No painting today but tomorrow oh yes. Tomorrow is a new dawn for me.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Yesterday evening I painted the straps on 37 water canteens, tidied up a few straps on my Scottish infantry and then finished off my Skaven Gutter Runners. I just need to base them and they are done. :D Only 10 of them, so it's not like it's a massive achievement, but at least it gets something off my workbench. I will try and post pictures once the bases are done.

I also started looking through this blog:
http://britisharmywaterloo.blogspot.jp/ ... igade.html
The guy is trying to redo the entire British army at Waterloo (some 28,000 men, though many of these were in fact Dutch, Belgian or German) in 28mm scale on a 1:1 basis for the anniversary. He's actually making quite a lot of progress. It certainly puts the speed of my painting to shame. It may have been linked on this forum before, but it is well worth a read regardless.

Today I primed my Plague Furnace as well as some Hussars (enough to make my small unit a standard sized unit) and some dark angels who were in need of a bit of a prime.
I had planned to do some painting tonight, but because the missus wanted to watch Quantum of Solace together on the TV I was consigned to the living room. However, I was able to assemble some extra models, in this case a standard bearer for the 52nd light infantry and an officer and two drummers for the 51st light infantry.

I also found a website that has downloadable flags for napoleonics (and others).

Tinkered with a non-nurgle mini, and played too much mass effect 2. Almost ready to go through that pesky Omega Relay, now. Took 45 fecking hours of gameplay to get to this point, but I'm almost ready...

Y'know, I bought ME2 in the hope it was a quick n cheerful FPS. Oh how wrong I was. Does anybody know any good SF FPS games for the PS3? Something like Doom or suchlike...
