Re: What did you do today.
Visited Castle Spevna yesterday for a couple of games of "this is not a test". In the first game my 'Sump Dogs' raiders successfully overran Spev's compound and made off with a good supply of baked beans. In the second game my Brotherhood of Steel patrol attempted to ambush a caravan and despite their superior technology, lacked the sheer numbers to win the scenario.
All in all a good days' gaming! Thanks Spev!

Re: What did you do today.
Having just finished painting three Imperial Knights for my Horus Heresy army, I've begun building a Warhound titan. Starting from the feet up, so at the moment it's reminiscent of Byron's Ozymandias, and the feet and legs are annoyingly fiddly with three dozen hydraulic pistons to cut to length and fit.
Re: What did you do today.
Ever had one of those situations where you need equal numbers of two things, like hot dogs and bread buns, but you just can't seem to get the quantities to balance? Because I found I had this problem last night, but instead of hot dogs and bread buns, it was two pieces of work intensive terrain components.
So instead of comfortably finishing off all of the terrain for Saturday's Bolt Action game, (and heaven forbid, having a little bit of free time), I'm going to be painting stuff as it is being laid out on the table.

Sounds like you had a great time guys. I'll have to get my Wizard of Oz Caravaners out onto the table again soon. I even bought a caravan for them a while back.YellowStreak wrote:Visited Castle Spevna yesterday for a couple of games of "this is not a test". Re: What did you do today.
Got back from the States on Sunday night, and I'm now battling with a wicked combination of jet lag and hay fever, but I did manage to go back and do plasma coil glowies for the finished models in my Scythes collection that needed 'em. And assembled some genestealer hybrids, which will (completely and officially!) finish off my advanced space crusade collection, with the exception of a single ogryn I still haven't gotten around to getting.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Re: What did you do today.
I wanted to wait until after the Normandy event to post this lot, so everyone at the event would get to see the BA stuff first hand.
3 Houses for BA.

Some rails (actually there are 12 sections of track, but they are all the same), plus a Train.

Some hedgerows and bocage. I had planned to make about 7 or 8 feet. I made closer to 15 feet. I am not good at estimating.

And a close up.

A German Jagdpanther.

I had a couple of German vehicles that were 90% done, so I finished them off.

Some scatter terrain for the rail line.

Some figures for Dungeons and Dragons.
From left to right, A small Black Dragon, A pack mule, A Modron Archer (scratch built and kit bashed on the request of one of the players in my group, those are meant to be fog-horns on top of the model) and a mad inventor.

Some Anglo-Saxon command stands for Hail Caesar.

Some Anglo-Saxon Thegns.

And a shot of my Anglo-Saxon army so far.

It was a busy month.

It was awesome to play with such beautiful and detailed terrain Prim. The Chateau, the town, the hedges, were all outstanding!

Not much done this week, a couple of models got undercoated and that's about it. I've mainly been cleaning up my hobby room and get stuff put away properly.

Re: What did you do today.
Today I looked up pre-orders for the new DG.
UK site: Morty 85GBP, codex 25GBP, total 110GBP. Hmmn. Pricey, but he is damn shiny.
J site: Morty 19600, codex 5800, total 178.50GBP. That's a 68 quid markup.
Hell.
No.

*edit* or from Element Games, 68 and 20 quid respectively
I reckon with the difference I can probly cover postage from the UK to here.
