sorry, no pics, but I pledged to post more this year, so here goes:
This evening I put down the metalwork on the stuff I mentioned in my previous post. If anybody knows why Vallejo Air Metallic black/silver reacts so badly to Tamiya thinner, plz let me know. Just...bleurgh. Instead of shooting through the airbrush in a fine mist as one would expect, it goes all...claggy, and comes out in stringy spurts, leaving wierd wee clumpy silver spodges. Since I was painting an orky dread and some nurgle stuff, wierd splotches of silver on top of the black/silver was actually not that much of a problem, as everything is going to have the crap weathered out of it anyway, but it's dang baffling as to why this might happen. Also made cleaning the airbrush a bloody nightmare.
Anyway, I coloured in a whole bunch of stuff kinda silvery, then brown-inked the crap out of it so it's mostly all rusty metal coloured at this point. I could probly call the mega-dread done and move on, but I suppose I should add a bit of colour to the armour plates and suchlike
