Been a while since I posted an update on the various bits and bobs on the bench.
Been building a BB Rat Ogre. Still looks more like a skinned Doberman than a rat, but working on it.

Extra putty has mutated into these two sinister characters. You know what sort of dregs and deviants collect around the docks.

And finally got a couple of Diggachicks painted. Not bad, in spite of the fact that I don't have any Vallejo Smoke.
And as always, hide the children's eyes.

@job
It's hard to see the guy as a villain when he sounds like a kindly grandfather.

@Primarch
That's a Reaper mini, appropriately named"Belle, Steampunk Heroine."

Last night I kitbashed together a few minis from my copiously stocked bitz boxes. I also put a little paint onto some colonial era British troops for the first time in ages.

@Konrad - That Rat Ogre is looking a bit skinny, you need to start feeding him more elves. :D

While halfway through some more Skitarii, I felt the call of Eisenhorn and got started on him.

C'mon Greg! One coat is enough for most people! Why do you have three?

@ToD - As an Inquisitor, he can wear as many coats as he wants. Questioning that is probably the worst form of heresy. :lol:

Last night I did a little more painting on some colonial Brits and put the base colours onto some medieval arab troops.

Two more Diggachicks finished.
I really need to take pictures of them as I sculpt. I can really see all the mistakes and weird proportions now that I can sit back and zoom in.
Rather pleased with the Kannonchick. Gun is not quite right, the straps and what not are too blobby, but the little details are better than I've managed before. If I took more time on the paint job, she'd be alright.
Put some spikes and more hair on that Rat Ogre too. Just about have him done up to the waist.

Finished up Eisenhorn tonight:

Image

A bit sloppy in places but he turned out basically OK! Of course, Eisenhorn his own self is wildly anachronistic for my army's fluff, so he'll be some young up and coming Ordo Xenos guy with abilities and tactics remarkably similar to Eisenhorn, but still. (Or maybe the Ordo Chronos will have a hand in things and it'll actually be him, heh.)

Now to paint 10 Skitarii in 10 days to get ready for the April meetup!

I slapped a few licks of paint on two more Stormtroopers then got sidetracked by a nice Micro Arts Studio building.

I'm working on another batch of 10 guardswomen over the weekend.

I also tested a white / blue color scheme for Sergeant Harker, which I'm thinking of using for my stormtroopers.
