's intrestin', I reckon, how for some people crying is an act of catharsis and for others it's a sign of an impending breakdown. Meh, humans - go figure. *shrug*

Yesterday evening I sculpted tiny maggots. Li'l itty bitty 2~3mm ones for my chaos lord and somewhat larger ones for my hellbrute. I also inwardly debated the wisdom of putting an eyeball on his lighting claw. I reckon it's a bit big, but then again that allows me to paint more detail on the eye and make it an "ooooh, bloodshot eye focal point of mini" instead of just "oh look he has an eyeball in his hand". Still not sure, though.

Other than that, I played a bit of bioshock. Splicers are getting easier to deal with, although camera based research is not helping much at the mo (eg after getting my bum kicked trying to take pics of splicers and then the research coming out as "splicers are vulnerable to anti personnel rounds" is a bit hum. I mean, I kinda guessed the anti personnel rounds were good for killing, y'know, people... Regardless, I'll keep snapping them snappy snaps :) I've also so far managed to rescue all the little sisters in every level I've been to. Yay me the good Samaritan :D

Got down the base colors on a Chaos cruiser for BFG that I'm throwing into Voss' Iron Warriors army because I had it lying around and deploying marines via drop pod is always fun. Mostly a color test for the metal finish I'll try for the army as a whole - worked out pretty good*. Now I have to decide how fundamentally dumb the idea of hazard stripes on a 5-kilometer-long space ship would be. :D

*Vallejo Smoke is my new favorite thing ever. Is there anything it cannot do? I put it to you that there is not.

Fundamentally dumb, but it's traditon. Iron Warriors have hazard stripes painted on everything, can't fight it.
Just imagine that by the 41st millenium the meaning has changed from, "Hazard, watch your head." to "Hazard, we will burn your planet to ash."
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

To be fair, Konrad has a point. I'm hard pressed to think of anything more hazardous than a chaos marine war cruiser...

I always assumed hazard stripes on Chaos stuff were more of a fashion statement than a workplace safety concern.

Don't you believe it. The head of the worker's union is a 25 foot tall, 6 armed, fire breathing daemon prince. You DON'T screw around with health and safety when he is involved.

Today I managed a full day at work with a full schedule without stressing out or feeling like the end of the world was coming. A good day.
Last night I played on Bioshock to the last level. It was freaky to say the least.
@ MiJ I'm not sure how the game goes but I think it depends on your decisions as to what will pan out later. We will have to compare.
I've on the whole freed the girls but there were a couple that slipped through the compassionate net and got harvested. Not something to feel good about. I'd be interested if the game plays out differently depending on decisions made. It's a great setting and has fantastic artwork right.
Welcome to Rapture.

@ToD The demo for X Com has just finished downloaded. I've been saving it for the holidays. :D
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Nothing gaming related today. Just getting ready for my trip back to Middle-Earth a.k.a. Aotearoa New Zealand.
I will (not) be thinking of you all as I sup an ale in the Shire (Hobbiton is just down the road from my place) in between trips to the beach. Hopefully Mt. Doom (Mt. Tongariro) doesn't erupt again.
So, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and all that.
Cheers

Next time I go back home I shall have to sup a few ales in the Shire, too :D
